I will buy a new computer soon.Here's my configuration. CPU:E4300 Mobo:Gigabyte 965 ds3 ver3.3 Memory:Kinston 1G*2 D9 DDR2677 Video Card:Unika X1950pro 256mb Harddisk:Seagate 250G 8m DVD-RW: Pioneer 112xl Is it ok?I want to get the faster in the less price.Any advice is appreciate.
If you're on a small type budget, go for an 8800 320 mb if you're worried about dx10. If not, that's fine.
Well you have a good overclocking board there so will you be overclocking? If so i would drop the e4300 and go for a cheaper e2140 or e2160 as both will overclock to what an e4300 will achieve. You will not notice the reduced L2 cache in gaming. The money you save will nearly put you within reach of another 1gb of ram. Which would really help with modern and future games. OR If you're not intending to overclock you could save a little by getting a cheaper motherboard and a e2160, it runs @ 1.8 stock, just like the e4300. Again don't worry about the smaller L2 cache on the e2160. Then you will easily have enough for another 1gb of RAM. BUT...you could also have enough for a x1950xt. These cards are incredible value at the moment and are hardly more expensive than x1950pro's. So there are lots of choices really. Although a 8800GTS 320mb card would be nice for that system, it really is alot more money than a x1950pro or xt.
I just want my new computer has a oc potential.Maybe sometime I will oc it.And i think 2G of ram is enough for me to run vista smoothly. But i'm wondering whether the Gigabyte p35c-ds3r will be better or not.
I have a very similar configuration and I think yours is fine. I'd consider getting 800 MHz RAM though. It makes OCing easier.
i might be wrong, but i read a couple of reviews(sorry its was a while ago, but if u do a search u should be able to find some), that 4 G of ram would be best for vista. i am running 3G with vista, and most of time, idle, its show the memory usage is mostly 39-41%.
You might want to spend a little bit more and get the x1950xt card. It is alot faster then the pros and will be able to handle the upcoming games better then the pro will. Just a suggestion. Other then that you have on kickass beginner system with alot of overclocking potential.
