Was actually quiet shocked that my old Saitek P750 joypad works with this, was even more supprised to find out Saitek actually have XP 32/64 bit drivers and Vista 32/64 bit drivers for it.

Not bad considering i bought it around 6-7 years ago.

Who here plays with a 360 controller and do you find it better than the keyboard?

Also can someone please post their settings on the Controller Option > Handling

 

Infinitely better than keyboard. I also have the 360 wireless wheel and it doesn't have a profile like the momo wheel does. I can't seem to get the handling to work as good as it does on 360(which isn't that great either) so i'm gonna stick with the 360 pad which is flawless for me.

be getting a 6600 next week with 2 or 4gb a 680i board but going ot keep my 7900gtx hope it runs ok on it though my screen res is 1920x1200 lol

I'm playing with the 360 controller. Its much better tha the keyboard.
The 360 controller is detected and setup automatically. Haven't changed any settings.

And jason you wont be able to play Ultra at that res, so your going to either have to play @ 1024x768 with Ultra settings or 1920x1200 with low-med

is it CPU limited much ?

^^^ Well its very CPU intensive my 3.3GHz Core 2 Duo is running ~90% both cores on this game.

As for GPU if you want the very best out of it then your going to need a 8800GTS/GTX as if you get the GTS make sure its a 640mb Version as its also very heavy on Vid Mem mine maxes out at ~600 @ 1280x1024 on Ultra settings.

 

it seams to me that in this game, anything above a 7800 or a x1800 will run the game maxed, (correct me if im wrong) but the prossesor is the major botleneck. my prossesor keeps me at between 20-30 fps on all single car races. regardles of graphic settings. so if i were to upgrade for this game, i would get a dual core of niceness. then the best graphics card i could still afford.
but thats just my (and my freinds) opinion.



(im at a lan party right now, and havent slept in like 26 hours, but the post looks farly ok. and um, yah. sleep.)

other note- this game is l33t, and i wish my momo worked right :-(

it realy uses over 600 mb on your card? i got mine on the ultra setting (except for driver models, there on med, and so are particles) and it never goes under 220mb of free memory, and 520mb of system memory used.

amazing the amount of CPU useage...

 

Yeah it would max out with other AI players @ ~600Mb on the Vram but its ok i have 768 to use

As for RAM it uses ~1400Mb but im using Vista x64 so thats probably why everything is used so much i still get roughly 40-50FPS all the time

Anyways enjoy your sleep, im going to get some eats as i too have not slept in a long time. . . . Im just passed being tired

 

I see that we have quite the same system. I am thinking of buying the dirt but I would like to ask a question: Do you think that the game will run in my system with 60fps at 1280-1024 everything maxed out but NoFAA and NoAniso???

Even though this game uses so much cpu I still get the eerie feeling that it's gpu limited unless gtx/r600 sli/crossfire maxed settings.
