By best.....well, what do you mean? The stablest? The fastest in games? The fastest in benchmarks? Honestly, it's hard to say for sure. As with my case, I have a surfing rig - AXP 2800+/NF7/2x 512mb KHX DDR400/9600XT (similar to the 9550 core-wise I believe) - and I don't game that much with it (I do have UT2k3, Liquidator and House of the Dead 3 installed.....for those times I get bored DLing stuff. It handles these games well enough, and I haven't had a single vid card issue....yet. I'm on the Cat 7.4 as of now and see no reason to change my driver yet.
Personally, I would just try the 5.12's and see what happens. What games are you trying to play though? Joe
I would just try 5.12 then and see what happens. It does not sound like you have any games that require any thing specific. Joe
I'm presently using the 5.8s for my 9800Pro 256MB card and will be upgrading to the NGO 6.6s soon. You might try the 5.8s if the 5.12s don't work out for you and if you don't like either one then try the 6.6s, but I wouldn't go any higher than 6.6s.
