I tried it and it was choppy as hell. The fps is ok... between 14 and 32 but it still jumps alot.

Could be a driver related problem but I doubt it since the juarez engine was/is quite buggy.

Im using the 158.18 drivers. It would be nice to know if anyone can run that bench smooth without the constant jumping.

mostly smooth but gets slight stutter and its always in the same place just before HDR and just before you go into a building apart from that it runs really well @ 1280-1024 set custom and eveything else none 158.45 its slowly gets more stutter as you up the settings balanced is about the best on my setup in terms of the visuals and the stutter is about the same as low on high there is to much stutter

this is at 1280/1024 lowest settings

    Min 10.5
    Max 88.3
    AVg 43.3

i think the drivers or game/benchmark needs to be optimized as the difference between lowest and highest settings and the way the benchmark looks and runs there is not a lot in it. Even at the llowest settings it still looks really good

When will the final DX10 patch come out for the game?

this game kicks the **** out of the 8800 not only the new dx10 demo but in xp version too so why would anyone expect it to run good.and the patch should be released on the 12th,it got delayed for nvidia to opt drivers for it.

Do you have a link for the source of that information? The game's official forums are pretty pathetic in terms of feedback.

my max is a little above your avg fps with the same settings so i cant believe that a amd x2 is two times faster then a intel quad. either you are cheating or intel really that much suxs...btw: that quad runs at 8x440 psb 4:5 5-5-5-15 ;)

Well... This benchmark really kicks the 8800 series ass ;) ...

    Settings:
    1280x1024
LOW (Shadows: none; AA: none; Textures size: 2048x2048)

    Min. 11FPS
    Max. 71.2FPS
    Avg. 38.1FPS

I think that my small amount of RAM is slowing down that game :( .

    GPU:
    XFX 8800GTX (610 / 1030) 169.01
    Default settings:
    Min: 16.5
    Max: 48.3
    Avg: 26.5

Animations also stutter from time to time (like Barry J stated).
    Gonna try some higher settings...

    Update
1680*1050 - All settings to maximum
    Min: 10.8
    Max: 33.7
    Avg: 19.3

Don't really know what to think of this
(except that my rig doesn't really live up to my expectations atm...)

Don't worry, I'm guessing that neither the game or drivers are mature enough to handle this kind of thing yet.
Within the next few months I think we'll see an improvement in DX10 performance through tweaks made to the engines and drivers that run these games.

The dx10 patch got delayed? Well for how long? Will it come out this month?

Run at same settings as yourself and got

Single 8800 GTX (Ref. Clock Speeds)

    Min. 15 FPS
    Max. 98.8 FPS
    Avg. 51.3 FPS

SLI 8800 GTX (Ref. Clock Speeds)

    Min. 19 FPS
    Max. 160 FPS
    Avg. 80.9 FPS

After running the game at 1600 x 1200 at HIGH settings I got

SLI 8800 GTX (Ref. Clock Speeds)

    Min. 10.5 FPS
    Max. 33.7 FPS
    Avg. 19.4 FPS

I will get better scores by overclocking, but you might as well wait untill the new drivers come out.
Before the latest BETA drivers came out I was getting 30 - 35 (SLI) FPS in Lost Planet DX10 at the same HIGH setings, and I was really concerned. When the latest ones came out it went up to 75 - 80 FPS .
The FPS will get better It's just a matter of waiting to get the drivers optimized, We are using BETA drivers and new hardware remember...

if anyone has a G15 while benchmarking notice your cpu usage stays around 12%, i benched @ 1680 x 1050 everything highest cpu usuage doesnt pass 16% the most as far as i saw, so this whole benchmark is all on 8800 i would assume? which is the whole point of dx10 to reduce load of cpu correct besides other stuff

I will probably play this with 1024 shadowmaps and low shadows settings since there is no dramatic visual difference from what I can see and the performance hit is not worth it. I am also going to use only 2xMSAA unless the performance improves on the actual game due to further coding tweaks and/or a newer driver. I do not want to play less than my monitor's resolution of 1920x1200 and some AA is better than nothing, especially at that setting.

    I get 18 / 37 / 63 at those settings.
