GTA San Andreas worse with 158

hi,
I installed 158, and just tried 160 beta on Win XP 64, but I feel my GTA lost a lot of FPS. I previously had 9x.xx drivers. Did they increase some quality somewhere, or change some default?

 

There must be someone playing GTA San Andreas with 8800 GTX and these newer drivers? It's terrible! Like playing on 5xxx series! Any info on this? Like it's known that this card is bad on "old" games?

 

Works great in Win XP32 with 158.22, i wouldnt even bother with a 64 bit OS unless you _really_ need it for some reason.

 

Yes I do need it, and I've been using it without problems for a year now, until this new driver.

 

then i'd suggest you reinstall a older driver that works, unless you really need this new driver
