    What does 2H 2007 mean? I take that as the release date, but when is "2H" due to? I know it's not same as 2nd quarter, or then they need to lauch these sweet chips next month.

    Wont be too far off I dont think. 2nd half to me means probably 4 or 5 more months. Hopfully before then we can get some people with engineering samples to post up benches and show off what these babies can do.

    I have faith that AMD has somthing good going on here, if not the C2D is still a great cpu and Intel gets my money instead :p

    I wonder if there is any real benifit in a "true" quad core vs 2 dual cores like the intel quads have.

    as long as all 4 cores are doing work, I dont see how that would make a big diffrence.

    AMD 16 core Barcelona system vs Intel 8 core. Problem for AMD is that high expectations have been set for Barcelona, so it would be a severe blow for them if these expectations are not met. We have to remember that Intel also is hard at work at this time, and their R & D coffers are much deeper than AMD's.
