Hey guys, I need some help cooling down my 7950GT. Been playing Armed Assult, and my card is running hot. 57C - 60C. What is the best method of cooling my card down? i added 3 fans to my rig, and have a decent air flow in there, but my card is still running hot when playing this game. is there a economic vid card fan out there that you may use and can recommend? something simple to install but produces results? thanks for your advise. stingfish
thats fine for a 7950GT. My 6600 runs at 53oC and mines been overclocked to fuk and it has a ****ty lil fan, on load it hits 67ish.
ok wow, you guys just made me feel better. thanks. question tho, that temp in Celsius should i be looking out for in regards of too hot? also, im checking the temp thru the nvidia control panal, tempature tab. is that an accurate reading? or should i be using something else to check the temps?
It's accurate. Although if you download RivaTuner then you can run the OSD (On Screen Display) server in the background and it'll tell you your GPU/Memory speed, current temps, FPS, and whatever else you want it to in game in the corner of the screen. If you really care that much, go for a Zalman VF700 CU. My card never hits 50c now.
thanks TheWheelman. I have riva tuner2.0 and cant seem to find that option. to turn on the info while playing games. im interested in that, can you tell me where i can find it?
