good. Show us some SPECapc_3dsmax scores - if you have 3Dsmax. Make one benchmark with OpenGL and one with Direct 3D. THIS would finally show us if Quadro/FireGL makes any sense in 3Dsmax anymore.
Hi guys! please help me! i have a Sapphire X1900XT 256MB PCI-Express. I used the script, installed the driver, and windows detected my card as a fireGL 7300, so everything seemed ok to me. games were OK. I successfully installed the 3DStudio Max custom driver ("Maximum Driver for 3ds Max/Autodesk VIZ") with a rivatuner script... install was successful (...as for the installer) But there is no new "custom" graphics mode in the selection menu of 3DSMax. I use max9, under 32bit windows. What did i do wrong? And how can i use this ability of my card? Hi guys,.... I previously had asus Eax850xt 256 Mb and I softmoded it to FireGL v7100 (with huangyanhao's r4xx. script and driver 8.293. ) my Maya 2 test was cca 66Fps. Now I have radeon x1959xt 512 Mb,... I softmoded it with the same driver and huangyanhao's r5xx script to fireGL 7350 , but I used to have better performance before with previous mod. (cca 60Fps) I expected at least 70Fps... What went wrong? can somebody tell me?
Ok thanks. I'm deciding between an 1950pro or 1950xt. Hear the XT has some driver issues, need more info about that. What do people think about the 1950XT 512MB for Maya? 512 seems overkill, but what the heck I guess, it's only marginally more expensive than the 1950pro considering the overall system upgrade.

Do you know if the agp card can be modded? Looking for way to save my aging a64 rig as do not have the cash to invest in Intel rig yet (& would like to see what happens to AMD) & SoftQuadro FX4400 is starting to come unstuck at times as getting more into surfaces. Anyone know if the V7350 / V7400 is any better? Mainly using Solidworks but starting to use UG NX4 a bit more now for surfaces & am looking for way to upgrade graphics performance without having to buy complete new setup. I have an Opteron that I can get to 3Ghz quite easily that's spare if I have to invest in new mobo, as I could then use some DDR I also have that will cut the mustard & would only have to get new G/Card, but would like to save that for a HTPC I am going to be putting together using KNoppmyth if I can. Ati Maximum drivers for 3ds max 8/2008 Hi, has anybody installed Max drivers from Ati for max8 resp. max2008? i have soft moded fireGL v5600, i followed these instructions: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=23&t=227800&page=1&pp=15 I could install the 3D Studio MAX / VIZ Performance OpenGL driver Version 8.391.2.1.1.1, but in step - run the atiimxgl.exe antiprotection.rts script - i can't choose my device ID - it's 9... a i can roll out some 4... If i extract drivers manualy and place them to the max root dir, i can select them in max, but it is standard opengl driver selected after max restart. No ati. thanks in advance.
