Nvidia releases world's second DX10 app

First one is also on nZone...guys, tsk tsk

NVIDIA SAID it has released the world's first interactive DirectX 10 app for mainstream crowd. An Nvidia Cascades demo shows the power of powerful G80 graphics chips when utilizing DirectX 10 API.

However, this is not the first-first DirectX 10 demo that is available to the general public. First one is actually hosted on Nvidia's own nZone gaming site, which is something that leaves heads in question marks what did PR bunny team in US do... check your own site first, please.

The world's first DX10 app and demo is a The Way It's Meant To Be Played (or short, winner of competition "Make your own break-a-tounge acronym" - TWIMTBP) supported product, developed by TheGameCreators can tell you that it is named FPSCreator, and yes, it does require DX10 hardware to run.

As you can see in the screenshots down under, these are first DX10 apps out there, and no "artistic renderings" as Microsoft likes to show to every hack it can find. However, this does not make these two demos less impressive.

Personally I'm not in a "OMGZZ!1" state, it's not THAT impressive.

I think we are just getting screwed with our money for some more eye candy effects.

Well we've all been wowed by Crysis.. So we already know what to expect with dx10, even in it's first run of games.

 

It won't install
I get the message d3dx9_32.dll not found..?
Then I get the Failed to load DD 2 DBProCamera10.dll message...??

 

Do you have vista, and nvidia last drivers?

 

Yup running Vista but still using 100.59..
I'll install the 100.64 now..

Ok tryed it, and all i can see is very bad texture and no new effects what so ever. Some options are greyd out. So this trial doesnt support nothing cool about dx10 effects??

Oh i checked version of trial and its v1.0 :bang: , so i guess no trial version of X10 version. Pointless to try it.

 

Install newest DX9 runtime from Microsoft.
