The 7600GT is consistently faster than the X1650PRO. If they are the same or nearly the same price, take the 7600GT.

You think 7600GT will be better for OC or not

The 7600GT should be better for OC from what I can see. Tom's Hardware benched a 'Turbo' edition of the X1650PRO which had a higher core clock than standard, which also failed to outperform a standard 7600GT in almost all the benchmarks.

I think that X1650Pro more like to 7600GS, X1650XT would be the one to compare with GT.

The 7600 GT is THE card to get in the mid range right now.

However, newegg.com has 7900 GS for as low as $155! I would deffinatly go for a 7900 GS over a 7600 GT due to the 256 bit memory bus. I was actually going to upgrade to one of those 7900 GS until I decided that my next video card was going to be a GeForce series 8 or R600 come hell or high water!

I think I remember even reading somewhere even the X1650XT is still behind the 7600GT, let alone the X1650Pro.

7600GT is a great card though for the money. On my old trusty P4 I was able to run BF2 and FEAR on very high settings at native res on my 17" monitor effortlessly, kept me on top of games before I finally upgraded to a totally new machine.

Yes, 7600GT performs better, and overclocking it is a paradise because of all the potential it comes with.

Also, when voltmoddig, I have seen 10k with single 7600GT, even it performs about 7k when not OCing (taking about 3dmark 05).

I think the mid-range should be the X1950 Pro, and the 7600GT comes to the mid-low range.

yep the x1950pro takes the cake with mid range now. Was thinking of getting one but I got a 7900GT from a friend.

Between the 1650XT and the 7600GT it really comes down to what kind of games you play. If your a FPS person then the 7600GT would be the better choice but if you play games like Oblivion then I would choose the 1650XT as it should play games like that alittle smoother and with better IQ. Both are good cards it just come down to what type of games you play more.
