The last time I installed the newest ATI driver I checked the driver date after I was done and the date was 09 26 2006. The driver date from the ATI site was 10 31 2006. Assuming I missed a step in removing the old driver before installing the new, I re-did everything with the same result. Next step, I downloaded Driver Cleaner Pro 1.5 and followed all the steps to the letter. Same result. Is this perhaps that the driver was made by ATI back in late october, tested for a month and then just released nov. 31? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
The date you checked when you were done installing is the driver build date. The date on the web site is the driver release date. The only thing you should be looking at is the driver version number, (catalyst 6.11).
