RivaTuner 2.0 RC 16.2 released!

    I am using the 97.19 drivers for 6600LE under Vista build 6000.

    RivaTuner detects the card, but it reports :
    "No supported drivers are detected for this display adapter", under Driver Settings.

    Is it normal for RT not to detect the drivers in Vista ?

    In the release notes I saw that support for 97.xx series was added. So I was just wondering whether it was for XP/2000 drivers only or for Vista also.

    Everything works fine in XP however.

    Mate, RTFM! Is it so damn hard to examine software documentation before posting a question in the forum?

    Documentation / System requirements:

    -Windows 98 (updated MFC libraries required), Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server x32, Windows XP x32, Windows XP x64 edition or Vista x32 (limited feature set available).


    Documentation / Known issues:

    -RivaTuner currently doesn't support any Vista display drivers and doesn't provide any driver-level related tuning options for both NVIDIA and ATI display adapters

    Documentation / Release notes:

    Added experimental limited Vista x32 support. Now all RivaTuner's low-level features including low-level overclocking, hardware monitoring, fan control, color correction and hardware diagnostics for both ATI and NVIDIA GPU based display adapters are also available under Vista. Take a note that currently RivaTuner doesn't support any Vista display drivers, so none of driver level functions (e.g. driver-level Direct3D/OpenGL settings tuning for NVIDIA display adapters and Overdrive based overclocking for ATI display adapters with separate 2D/3D clocking) are currently available under Vista. Drivers-level features will be completely supported and available only after official Vista launch only. Please refer to known issues section to get more info on Vista support.

    anyways .. just when I was seeing the manuals .. I found out a bug in the un-installer that's still present in this version in Vista

    The shortcut's from the Start -> All Programs are not removed by the un-installer. I saw that the previous folder for RC16.1 was also present. just now I un-installed this new version to find that the RC16.2 folder also remains.



    Just curious ... is there something legal related to this ?

    Don't see a problem with that here. And even if it were there, there is nothing I could fix from my side. That's installer shell's job, not RT's one. Probably something is not yet working properly working in NSIS itself under Vista, probably (and most likely) the reason is your system.

    Once again, use search!!!!
    The reason is simple: there are NO normal display drivers with full feature set for Vista for both NV and ATi. And it won't be available till official sales start (i.e. till the end of January).
    So I simply have nothing to support yet and I don't want do to monkey job on supporting early betas which will surely change in future. Vista fans make like or dislike it, biut it is a fact.

    Quick Guide to RivaTuner?

    Dude I just Downloaded the Program to fix an issue I only "belive" to be my Video Card but I can't Figure out the application is there a guide to this thing or something? I've been to mark's but alot of what is on his site I Either don't see or has been set up and well....i dont know how to set anything up

    Just the best tweaking tool...!

    Only to said that for YEARS RivaTuner is the BEST tweaking toll i've used for my nVidia graphics cards. Thanks A LOT for the good job and keep on...!

    Two hints and two tasks for homework:
    1) How much VRAM is being used by 3DMark?
    2) How much VRAM is being clocked at 983MHz clock, if you have 3 memory partitions, 768MB total, and clock of 2 of them is fixed?

    We might be lucky to get final drivers for Vista very soon. Microsoft released Vista for the companies the 1st December (yesterday) such as dell, hp etc.

    This will probably give us final drivers pretty soon :D And then the good unwinder might give us the nice wanted full vista support. (Probably just to make all of us shut up :p)

    My patience is over. I'm giving final warning for all Vista guys, ignoring documentation, search and spamming the same questions again and again. I repeat it last time, and will simply remove or close any new Vista related thread or question:

    Don't expect full Vista support till OFFICIAL Vista sales start in the end of JANUARY.

    The OSD fps monitoring does not work for me. Just shows 0.0 fps

    I just uppdated from rivatuner RC16.0 to RC16.2
    I use drivers 91.47

    Also the statistic server thing does not autostart (run at windows startup is checked )

    i have to put it in startup in windows
