at last a western fps!!! about time too. the graphics looks very good and i suppose the lighting looks like HDR? the game will be released in september 2006.
the engine reminds me of OBLIVION or so. :3eyes: kinda impressive.

i think this could end up being a great game.......perhaps in multiplayer too? :nerd:

This game runs like cr*p :) They really should optimize the engine :) Even high end rigs struggle with this game :)

:D i tested the demo and i can honestly say with Shader 3.0 the game is far from being optimized (buildings looks drab)...........however once you switch to Shader 2.0 and put AA 4x everything is very smooth.
the game is cool and the death animation are nice, i think this game will shine in the Multiplayer. the only thing bothering me is the loading time clocking at almost 2 minutes!

i will buy the game when it comes out (maybe). :)

Second screenshot looks really nice, is that depth of field in use?

It ran fairly well on my system. I wasn't a huge fan of the extremely fast reloading though. Hopefully it turns out to be a good game, and starforce free!

The engine is not so impressive ... look at the grass , if things were so dynamic , it should cast some shadow too ... and this runs like ,,,, sh*t ....

Whenever I see those screens, I get reminded of how crappy the game runs.

if it runs so bad, then just turn down the resolution, problem solved.

ı played the demo and liked game so much. It uses latest technology visuals right? I cant blame a game for its high end visuals and slow performance in my system. i played @ 1024*768 everything high and game was slow sometimes but it wroths to apply all visuals @ high settings ;)

terrible to say but yes it did and it wasn't even funny. of course the engine is the culprit not the card because i have power and speed to spare, now let's not forget this is a demo and as such is kinda unoptimized. if you played Oblivion you know what performance is like in Call Of Juarez.
i have played SCCT with everything maxxed out including SM 3.0 and not a single slowdown, that's why my conclusion is that COJ engine isn't too optimized. imho this looks like a tech demo to me, even the Readme.txt states the engine used (advertising....anyone?), kinda like Serious Sam 2.

poorly programmed games can wreck hav0c even with the latest and greatest hardware out there. ;) :3eyes:
