I thought i would post these results up, after i ran the maya test in SPECViewperf 9.0

They may interest some, or not - anyway here they are. The card is a BFG 6800ultraOC - then softmodded into a quadroFX4000 of course, i haven't tweaked anything in rivatuner other than the basic option.

Original 6800 on 91.31 Geforce drivers:

    maya-02 Viewset
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Test Weight Frames DLB Visual Double Frame Buffer Depth Stencil
    # Per Sec Sec ID Buffer Red Green Blue Alpha Buffer Buffer
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1 11.00 30.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    2 11.00 14.9 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    3 11.00 12.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    4 11.00 15.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    5 12.00 9.99 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    6 11.00 8.58 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    7 11.00 8.56 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    8 11.00 8.56 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    9 11.00 20.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    maya-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 12.90

Then Softmodded to FX4000 with the 91.36_forceware drivers:

    maya-02 Viewset
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Test Weight Frames DLB Visual Double Frame Buffer Depth Stencil
    # Per Sec Sec ID Buffer Red Green Blue Alpha Buffer Buffer
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1 11.00 60.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    2 11.00 32.4 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    3 11.00 27.1 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    4 11.00 59.7 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    5 12.00 29.9 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    6 11.00 57.6 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    7 11.00 30.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    8 11.00 30.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    9 11.00 60.0 N/A 7 True 8 8 8 0 24 0
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    maya-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 40.37

    do those figures look ok?

    maya-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 40.37

so, you are a more than 3x in performance: 330%

yeah, IF those spec figures are to be believed.

Someone was talking about quadros detecting the spec tests and changing the responses - dunno how that affects this but i am happy with my card :)

well, SPECViewperf is only other bench, always is better doing test in fly.

    is easy try:

open maya or max and build a simple scene with thousands or millions polygons and try move this. after this, increment taselations.

I tested a couple of drivers in both viewperf 9 and a custom solidworks benchmark script I wrote. It seems the newer 9x.xx series drivers cheat in viewperf (about 50% increase going from 84.26 to 91.36 in specviewperf and a tie in the actual solidworks benchmark).
