I thought i would post these results up, after i ran the maya test in SPECViewperf 9.0 They may interest some, or not - anyway here they are. The card is a BFG 6800ultraOC - then softmodded into a quadroFX4000 of course, i haven't tweaked anything in rivatuner other than the basic option. maya-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 12.90 maya-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 40.37 so, you are a more than 3x in performance: 330%
yeah, IF those spec figures are to be believed. Someone was talking about quadros detecting the spec tests and changing the responses - dunno how that affects this but i am happy with my card
well, SPECViewperf is only other bench, always is better doing test in fly. is easy try: open maya or max and build a simple scene with thousands or millions polygons and try move this. after this, increment taselations.
I tested a couple of drivers in both viewperf 9 and a custom solidworks benchmark script I wrote. It seems the newer 9x.xx series drivers cheat in viewperf (about 50% increase going from 84.26 to 91.36 in specviewperf and a tie in the actual solidworks benchmark).
