hi few weeks ago i bought a brand new club 3d 7600gt,i have been gaming and i havnt seen any perfomance problem. the problem is when i try to oc my7600gt the test fail every time. i tried oc the core and the memory from 560 to 565 and memory from 1500 to 1505, but the driver test faild and most strange is that in screen apear alot of artifacts and the screen turn on/off itself every 10 or 15seconds. i tried these drivers 91.31,91.37,91.45 and i get the same problem with all of them. my 7600gt temp idle 47-49c and fullload 55-58c -could be that my card is factory locked to not oc?:3eyes: -should flash the card with a deferent bios? -is there any tool flash to my card in windows? thanks and sorry for my bad english.
OCing IMHO sint worth it..if it fails on normal method, then i guess you should just drop it then besides, whats a few Mhx overclock anyway, a hundred 3dmark points? so? my 2cents..if it wont OC easy, dont push it.. BTW flashing the BIOS is very risky..might as well not try it plus i see you got an unbranded 500w PSU there?whats the amperage?
well, fews days ago i benched my card at default settings and i got 6334 points in 3dmark05.is this score ok for my pc? the psu is M-400U http://www.colors-it.com.cn/03_prod...id_search=88&max_id_search=5&min_id_search=21
hell yeah! thats a pretty high score..i only got 6170 and my 7600Gt is factory Oced to 580/1500 so yeah thats a good score..or did you know it already and only wanted to gloat?lols
no friend i dont want any gloat or anything.i only want to know that what is wrong my card or pc. have you seen the specificatnion of my psu? should i buy a new psu? which brand do you recomend me? thanks for your inputs.
yeah i know..i was just messing with you RE:GLOATING.. anyway, as for your PSU, i didnt check, but how many amps do you get on the 12vrail? i dont think its the PSU anyway as the 7600GTs dont require that much power..but seeing you have a heavily OCed A64 3000+. well that could be an issue
i don't see anything wrong with your current hardware, but maybe the problem is the brand of the GPU. i never heard of great OC's with Club 3d Nvidia Based Cards.
that should be fine.. anyway, maybe its your card..but then again your card is already performing quite well so if i were you i wont bother going the extra mile just to OC it
not all cards will oc well each varies example i had leadtek 6800 and my mate had glacier on ages ago mine went from 350/700 to 410/830 with no problems his went from 350/700 to 365/733 stable both cards bought at the same time just the luck of the buy and i unlocked the extra 4 pipes and he couldn't they were screwed on his although when my card was clocked that high still only got a few fps increase and the card had to be rma'ed after 8 months
hi i am new here.i have a big problem that i ant solve definately you people are used to these kinds of things please help me too my system specs are pentium d830(3ghz without oc) 512 mb kingston ram 300w psu unbranded(with casing) ggc102 intel geniune 80gb sata2 seagate 4mb cache x200 (built in cards) i need a video card bad and have a buget for 100us dollar so can you suggest one i am a m.b.b.s student so dont have enough for my rig have to pay the fee this month well thats different tell me to have any thing added or removed from my current rig and also what card is best for me without oc its quite challenging as ihave already lost my 6600gt to the great oc please help
i think you also need to updgrade your PSU first..that generic 300W isnt good for your rig..and it probably caused the failure of your OCed 6600GT.. what happened to the 6600GT btw? and is your mobo agp or PCIe?
