This thread is useless without some more Screens. ;)

    HL2:
    1280x1024, 16xAF, 4xAA, no TSAA:

    1280x1024, 16xAF, 4xAA, MS TSAA:

    1280x1024, 16xAF, 4xAA, SS TSAA:

    1280x1024, 16xAF, 8xS, SS TSAA:

Seems a bit buggy because SS TSAA looks almost exactly like MS TSAA. Maybe a scene with a lot of fences would show it better.

    Far Cry:
    1280x1024, 4xAA Gamma, No TSAA:

    1280x1024, 4xAA Gamma, MS TSAA:

    1280x1024, 4xAA Gamma, SS TSAA:

There is a gradual increase in IQ. And the Framerate isn't half bad. Not bad at all. This scene was very heavy with foliage and yet the game had around 40-50 fps with SS TSAA. MS TSAA was practically free.

    IT WORKS !!!

    :D

I was also very suspicious about all these features "only the 7-series" was capable of... why ? Because the 7-Series GeForce is essentially the same 6-Series GPU with more vertex / pixel units, and some minor other tweaks. ( but nothing significant, i.e. nothing that can be considered an added feature, just optimizations to the pipelines ( only the pixel pipes, not the vertex pipes - those are exactly the same a.f.a.i.k. )).

So it makes perfect sense. Everything that works on the 7-Series has to work also on the 6-Series. ( if it`s not disabled in the drivers - as it was until now ).

    :D

Transparency Anti-Aliasing now works on the GeForce 6 !!!

    :D

The % Hit depends on the game and how much AA is there. CS:S dosen't have a hit as say compared to TRL. Its totally depends on the game. Gamma AA and Trans Super AA has a big hit on TRL while CS:S for me dosen't have much of a drop. BF2 also dosen't have a drop as much.

Just a side note, for those boasting that they are using HDR + AA on Hl2 Ep1 is a load of rubbish, I have tried it and noticed that HDR is disable the moment you turn on AA, next time you turn on AA in hl2 ep1 you'll notice that dark rooms no longer gradually get brighter and you wont get blinded by walking out of that dark room, the only thing that is active is the bloom effect, which is nice, but it doesn't give depth to the colour like HDR does.

If you want the ultimate test for this AA enhancement then use the first level in HL2, the trainstation, it literally has a maze of transperant fences that you have to walk round, there you see layers apon layers of transparent textures, all overlapped, and the fence gets REALLY grainy. I'm downloading the drivers now to see how of an improvement this makes.

Works fine for me in CS Source. I get the black effect after looking outside @ the sun and come in it gives me that effect.

Wrong, that's 16xSS. 4xSS is rendering it at 2048x1536 (4x the number of pixels).

4xSS is actually only 2x2 samples. So it's actually 2 times the number of pixels horizontally and vertically. It's not 4x the number of pixels though. ;)

    1024x768
    2x2
    -----------
    2048x1536

16xSS is of course 4x4 samples.

    1024x768

Another confirmation note ... working uber fine ... I'm using TAA in multisampling mode ,, the iq improvement is quite noticeable but the diff. from supersampling is not much ... plus the fps hit is minimal ...

Is there way to get it work in Windows X64? My second pc has 6800 Ultra and I would like to test it.

yes, performance hit depended of the game in all case. Anyway, gamma corrected or TAA MS never drop me more than 2-4 FPS. TAA SS drop more, 10% was a reference percent :)

HL have a bug with TAA SS and don't work, yes, same for TAA SS or TAA MS.

4x SS are bad expresed, this mode don't exist. pure SS mode are 1x2 2x1 2x2 and 4x4. 4x SS we can suppuse are 2x2.

Anarion, you will have wait for X64 driver version :(

Looks like i managed to enable TAA SS in SoF2. Levels in hong kong were not filtered but these in kamchatka are. Fences look very nice now :)

Gamma AA again depends on what game you play and what settings ure running / etc...

99% of the time the Gamma AA thing is very hard to notice..as in the image quality..perfermance hit depends on the game as usual..just like Trans AA

    Transparancy Antialiasing

Transparancy Antialiasing kind of works for me... even on my 128mb 6800
Anyone in doubt, turn it on and play Guild Wars and check out the grass, trees and objects. Transparancy can be seen with ease

Saying that, I have experienced a few corrupted textures when set to multisample, but supersample appears to add great realism with minimal performance loss.

    Didn't notice anything in CoD2 though. ;(

Wow, GTA Vice City looks really sweet, haven't tried in San Andreas. But i did tested Adaptive AA on my former R9600 Pro in San Andreas and it looked great. So i assume you'll get same result on GF6...

Alright, i just tested with Aquamark3, and it either wont work or
I messed up some setting. The score with 1024, 2xAA 4xAF on
my system like you can see on the left side of this post was 53.7
(6800GT) with and without TAA enabled. I think it was either
because I selectet MSAA in the tab or AM3 does not support it.
I'm testing again with SSAA setting and with Fear, and if the penny
    drops, i'll report back.

BTW: isn't Quakecon taking place right now? Why are you all still here? :D

EDIT: When selecting SSAA, fps drops from 53.7 to 49.83. Continuing tests

    Here's also a screenshot of Heroes V, 1280x1024 2xAA/4xAF/TSSAA on
    [IMG]
    (mind the trees)

Found something, look right here: The crystals are not drawn correctly
with the above mentioned settings. But the game itself (although it's
now ver. 1.2) is still very buggy. With 91.33 1280 0xAA 0xAAF no bugs.
