I havnt overclocked this card yet, so heres my 3dmark scores at stock speeds 01- 31107 03- 15878 05- 7548 06- 4122
thats not bad, you might be able to squeeze a bit more, mine ran 490/1200, but that was just for benchies. i could go a wee bit higher to maybe 500 but i got artifacts in 06, if you get none at 495 then i would be happy! what about the mem, i thought that the memory made a bigger difference than the core, dunno if that is normal or not but 495 is good!
Memory Bandwith is as important or more important that core speed, having a high core speed is good as long as you have the memory bandwidth to keep up with it.
Alright I got it running at 490mhz/1.19ghz New scores with overclock; 01- 32571 03- 17323 05- 8256 06- 4499
similar to mine try doing the 7800gt bios volt mod that should increase your clocks to my cards clock
Its not worth it to me doing a volt mod, I did one on my old 6800 vanalla and it died a few weeks later.
cool scores i get about the same with my opty at 2.4ghz prolly 7800gt are decent cards but not are top notch like an 7900gt
my room mate has a intel 930 @ stock, 1g of corsair XMS 667 ram, a asus mobo (cant remember model of top of head) a Evga 7900GT KO OC 256mb, and an antec 550w truepower PSU in the comp i built for him and i tested it and it got 5964 on 3dmark06, it seems to be about a really good score for his setup......im not much of an Nvidia guy myself so im not to sure on it but from what ive seen on rewiew sites thats about right, and as for your 7800gt it seems to be the same thing, thats what you should be getting ;P
