new card

    g;day guy's just a quicky i have a 6800gs gigabyte nvidia card at the moment trying to run fs2004 with no luck at all.what would be the equalivent to it in ati i use to have a 9600xt ati card 256mb so there a guide ah also it has to be PCI-E AND 256MB thanks in advance and also will be selling the 6800gs if anyone is interested cheers mark

    FS2004 as in Flight Simulator 2004? That shouldn't be a problem at all with your 6800 either... the requirements for FS2004 is something like "8Mb graphics card".

    Maybe you just need to update your drivers? Or something else is the problem, but your graphics card is certainly powerful enough.

    MS Flight Sim is mostly cpu bound. Most any decent video card will handle that game/sim with a good cpu...

    What cpu are you running?

    guy's my sys is AMD64BIT 3500 ASUS A8N-SLI PREMUIM 2048MB DDR400 120GB SATA HARD DRIVE maybe the problem lies there GIGABYTE 6800GS 256MEG PCI-E GRAPHICS 17INCH TFT SAMSUNG AUDILGY SOUNDBLASTER guy's get alot of micro pausing stuttering and lots of shimmering from ground textures really p----- me off always had ati card 9600xt 256mb what would be a mid range ati pci-e card to buy cheers mark
