Even after spending alot of money on the Yonah system, I'm about ready to build a Conroe one. I'm probably going to wait a month, then get it because by then I'll be done with testing on the Yonah system. I Will get to the science fair nationals by overclocking... or at least win more money this year.

Very nice CG, Now all you need is to hit 5Ghz on that conroe and you will be smoking.

I think FCG is pretty much... not answering. I will simply bench with the 84.56s, but I think there IS a driver issue of some sort, whether it would be fixed with the .66s or if it is just resident on the intel platform i dont know.

:eek2: I'm in shock also, that doesn't even seem realistic. Have you double checked everything? That's just crazy. That's like going to a g90 sli or something.

Well, does the 1024x768 result look realistic? Because the only thing I did was switch to 16x12 and rerun.

Yeah, 1024x768 looks realistic but that 16x12 just looks wrong. Who knows, it could be right though.

Have you tried re-running the FEAR tests?
Are you sure the graphic options are the same as the Opty?
Did you play around with the drivers since the Opty tests?

    Yes, i have re-run

all graphic settings are indentical, this is 100% certain as I let FEAR set max/max, then change to 1600x1200

i reinstalled drivers... no fooling with them though

I take it you are using modded drivers to support SLI on a 975xbx... Perhaps this mainboard is boosting your performance in SLI? Can you try running without SLI to see what the scores are on the Opty and Conroe.

Yes, they are modded, but they still work the same, the Opty is on its way to Sniper_Spike as we speak.
