    INTERESTING:
Windows Vista can support rivatuner (in 32 bit, I hope that support 64 bit in future versions): http://www.iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Windows_Vista_Software_Compatibility_List
but, can support the driver nvstrap????? (I rode a few time ago, I don't remember where, that the windows vista x64 (and I think that 32 bit too), don't support drivers without a digital signature (third party aplications, quake!). That is meaning when windows vista arrive 6800gt@6800gt only?

    Slashdot:
"With little fanfare, Microsoft just announced that the x64 version of Windows Vista will require all kernel-mode code to be digitally signed. This is very different than the current WHQL program, where the user ultimately decides how they want to handle unsigned drivers. Vista driver developers must obtain a Publisher Identity Certificate (PIC) from Microsoft. Microsoft says they won't charge for it, but they require that you have a Class 3 Commercial Software Publisher Certificate from Verisign. This costs $500 [EUR 412] per year, and as the name implies, is only available to commercial entities."

I'm a little scared for the nvstrap driver that permit gforce@quadro. Should I forget this in windows vista?????

    Greetings.

Somebody have a 64 bit Windows vista installed (or 32 bit) and can confirm that nvstrap driver works?????????????? Specially if the card is 6800gt@quadro fx-4000 to prove the driver (any card that gforce@quadro is valid too).

    I haven't got windows vista.

I think that is interesting for all of us.

    Thank you.

Screw Vista and their "certified for Windows" gangster racketeering attutude, i would rather see NVStrap for Linux. :D

Very good idea, but all of us know the difficult of drivers in linux.

I have not tried Vista, and I will not start to use it unless, God forbid, I *have* to use a program that *only* work on Vista.
Then I will probably create another partition (or another HD, if I must)
and start in Vista-mode only when I have to.

I still use Windows 2000-style ("Classic") in XP.
    My desktop is grey only.

I don't like guessing at all. I'll be able to reply only when I'll have a final Vista installed here.

Is very important for many people that you could make the strap driver for vista ;). Your tool is essential for a lot of people, that's the problem of success. ;)

Congratulation because is a great application.

    Thank you.

i just tried it on vista x86 5384.4, and it works,

you have to right click the rivatuner shortcut, and under properties> compatebility, chose 'run this program as windows XP (sp2) compatible.

btw, im new here, HI all

But, works well the nvtrap driver or only the application? can you convert your gforce@quadro? (My interest is only for this conversion to quadro, the overclock, etc... and other features is not important for me).

    Thank you.

Thank you for your work ;).
But still we don't know if "the driver works", only show us the interface of the program. Can you show us, any features of quadro?

By the way, which is your card?

Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience jedimindtriks.

And, if some person has the Windows Vista X64, can prove it?

    Thank you for all.

well, nvstrap works, managed to change vertex and pixel shader units from 15, 5 too 16 -6

other then that i cant confirm because i cant install a new driver on my pc. something is wrong with it :(

    im using a gf6800 (asus v9999).

and for x64 vista, i had it on my computer, but i installed the x86 version instead, x64 used 750mb ram, when the pc was idle, after a reboot, and everything was laggy.

didnt try rivatuner on x64 tho

So you can't tweak the shaders with rivatuner on vista?

Well, I can't get nvstrap to install on my machine. I got rivatuner to run but it says that there are no supported drivers and nvstrap won't install.

I'm using the newly released build 5384 of vista as well as the lastest drivers from nvidias site.
