I doubt it, but have you tried out the latest beta X-Fi drivers released last week? Worth a shot.

Unlucky, on mine (intel) and on my brother PC (Amd) no problem at all.

Driver Clean them in Safe mode, worth the try.
Something might just not me installed, causing Windows error when it request the App, or Driver, or anything it require.

did u tried a clean reinstall of the drivers?

    • go to your control panel> software and uninstall the drivers
    • reboot in safe mode and login as admin
    • check if the card still shows up in your hardware list (control panel> system> hardware> device manager), if yes, delete it but dont reboot
    • now start driver cleaner and clean the cab by switching to the cab killer mode (*optional)
    • now switch back to the driver killer mode (killer mode hehe) and select the Nvidia stuff
    • click on show details and move your mouse cursor to the START button and click it
    • reboot in normal mode and install the drivers. reboot.
    thats it :)

Never had any problem with Nvidia drivers for a long time. Using 91.28 and today while playing a couple hours of America's Army the system froze up as did the sound card went into a looped playback. People beware!

Hey, I have the exact same config as your first box (with the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2), and I was getting all sorts of sprite problems and texture problems in all of my games, old gen and next gen. I kicked back to the last WHQL'd 8x.xx series drivers, solved my problems.

Does that board use a VIA chipset? Because if it does that would be your problem.... some drivers over-write a file used for AGP/PCI-E port with a newer one and VIA chipsets don't like it.... If u try to boot into safe mode what driver file does it freeze on?

91.31 crashed mine too. Tried 91.29 seems better to me for video playback.
    Not perfect though.
These drivers should be avoided at all costs.
