yep. nvidia wants to refine their quad-SLI drivers until they're good enough for boasting so they dont even allow u the functionality right now.

nah, Hilbert had 2 of those cards for review... and tested them and they worked... using 91.29 I think...

Not huge improvement over 1 card, but that's understandable...

ye, the drivers are not supportive of quad sli, but he modded the driver to recognise the quad sli... anyway, the results were dissapointing... There's a lot of improvement to come on this front...

    They're ugly cards tho... brb

Better drivers are needed and er... wouldn't Quad SLI be kinda er... cpu bottlenecked?

not exactly gtx, but your point is right, its impossible that that wont be horribly cpu limited.

But at the same time people who can afford a Quad SLI won't just be using an average CPU

granted, but even gtx sli is already cpu limited by an fx60 in most games, it can only be worse with quad sli

Yeah lol, last time Quad SLI was tested it got beaten flat by a single pair of crossfired XT1900XT's. Embarrassing.

I was going to pick up two of these but i settled on buying one of those xfx ee ones for now. As for the price, i think its a good price, considering what i paid for a 7800 gtx when they were release... It should arrive soon. By the time conroe arrives sli support for these should be usable.

well, in hilbert's review, he said, that in 9 out of 10 tests it was slower than a single 7900gtx... oooh...

If you play at high resolution it wont be bottlenecked much by CPU
Althoug a good CPU is a must ;)

Yeah it was slower than sli 7900 gtx, but considering it costs less than 2 7900 gtxs, and the xfx is slower by only a few fps, and the possibility of quad sli ( which many people have gotten running well already ), it was a good buy, at least for the resolutions and settings i demand anyways.

It is about two 7950's in SLI (4 gpus)
They score lower than one single GTX (1 gpu)
Just to make things clear ;)
