What do you think is the best FPS gun?

I cant decide! id say my favorite would be the shotgun in FEAR...

 

Quake 4's Antimatter gun. I love how it sucks squibs into it and then explodes .

 

Yea that gun is kick ass i forgot about that...i didnt really like Quake 4 tho...i expected it to be better

 

To each his own some of my notable favorites.

The Gravity Gun - HL2 - it was just super cool, till you get the upgraded verson then its super cool and super deadly.

The Golden Gun - Golden Eye 007 - One Shot One Kill need I say more?

The Stake Gun - Pain Killer - There never was a weapon better at pining sombody to a wall, or atleast part of them.

Any Starwars Game - Lightsaber - Sure its not a gun but it was by far probably my favorite weapon of all time, meele skills are what counts to a true warrior.

 

Nail Gun- Quake - The nail gun was the classic weapon and the most recognized throughout the quake series

F.E.A.R- 10mm Penatrator - Gotta love sticking people in the wall with huge ass nails.

Duke Nukem 3d- Shrinker - It shrinks you and then you can step on your enemy!

Crowbar- HL/HL2 - Need I say more?

 

I'm surprised nobody said BFG yet.

The Quake II incarnation was amazing. The big ass mofockin' ball of green death comes to you and as it's rays reach out and degen your health it impacts upon your face to explode into this nuclear explosion nobody in the vincinity can escape.

BFG10K 4 life.

Even better with the quad... oh yeah.

 

BFG from the good ol Doom days. Nothing beats that

Actually, my favorite would have to be the pump shotgun from Doom I/II

 

BFG was boring to me in doom, just because it was the strongest doesnt mean it was the best, hella tough on ammo.

I did have fun with that laser gun in doom 64 and finding all the hidden upgrades for it to turn it into a demon killing machine.

I think Doom64 was my favorite one too, in the dark at night with surround sound on...oh man. the new doom on PC I got 1/2 way thru and didnt like it much, great graphics and enviroments but the game itself was lacking terribly.

 

I agree with you The BFG was just awesome. What other gun will let you absolutely clear out a room of 75 imps with one shot? Not to mention turn most of them into bloody piles of crap.....:massacre:

 

I like that sniper rifle in Perfect Dark... the one that shot thru walls!!!

but my trusty green lightsaber in any Jedi Knight Game is my favorite.

Devestator, duke nukem 3d. Rapid fire mini missles.
Freeze gun, duke nukem 3d, enough shots would freeze a target, in which you could kick him, and he'd die.
Shrink gun, duke nukem 3d, shrinks, then you can step on people.
C4, battlefield2, i love suicide bombing.

 

You want creative? How about the anal probe gun from the Xbox title "destroy all humans"? Now that's entertainment!

BFG from Quake 3!!!

 

Nuke Missile Launcher from Starship Troopers - it's a big explosion therefore it satisfies a male ego perfectly.

 

The original unreal eightball!!!

 

Red Faction's rail gun... 1 shot, 1 kill, 1 cool weapon that shoots through walls .

 

The Disc from Tron 2.0.

 

SBC Cannon .... MMuuuuaaaahhhhaahhahahahahah ... hmmm that reminds me of the parrot with the bomb ...

 

Best gun, ehh, a tough one. The best ones would propably be (in no order):

1) Cannon from Serious Sam (I've only played the First Encounter)
2) Any sniper rifle from any unrealistic game where you hit exactly where you aim and the guy doesn't breathe/tremble at all.
3) H&K G36C from BF2, the accuracy is so ridiculous, it's like a sniper rifle.
4) H&K MG36, also from BF2, the accuracy again, I don't have SF so I'm so excited when I find one.
5) Rocket launcher with nuclear missile from Shadow Warrior (it's like Duke 3D)

I'm sure there are much more but I can't remember. So many games, and so many I haven't played, like HL2 and FEAR.

Some of my favorites, not the best but...

1) Silver Talon from Soldier of Fortune 1
2) AK-47 from BF2, it just feels so good
3) Colt Commando from Max Payne
4) The MP5 clone/variation from Half-Life/ Azure Sheep's (a HL SP mod) assault rifle, I don't remember what it was, but I liked the skin back then.
