I just recently built a new computer Pentium D 920 2.8ghz Stock 2gb OCZ DDR2-800 XFX 6800gs pci-e Seagate 80gb s-ata 450w psu The computer ran all games flawlessly on all high settings for about a week, when problems arose and all my games stuttered and cpu usage went up to 100% in game. I was looking at other forums and discovered an issue called "DPC" and was wondering if it applied to my situation and why is it doing that. Is it due to the drivers or faulty hardware?
You're going to have to explain more. But first I would suggest doing something that would eliminate some of the more possible problems. Run Ad-Aware, Spybot, you anti-virus scanner, ScanDisk and Defrag and in pretty much in that order, for sure the last 2 should ne ScanDisk and then Defrag.
