I read a thread about unlocking the vertex and pipelines . and I did that ..and now it seems that my comp is LAGGING like hell ! when i unpack a 700meg RAR file it takes 2-4 Mins ...before i unlocked it i took 1-2 mins . My girl who was playing tibia (2d) game its lagging like crazy ! and when i played Oblivion there was no difference but lag ^^ First i thougt it was my HDD´s whos lagging so i run Defragment prog and now my HDD is super ..but still the lag ! WOW and i installed my AV -prog ..no virus :) so shall i reset my GFX or is there any other solution ? My spec on my comp :

    CPU : Pentium 4 (HT) 3Ghz original
    GFX : Asus V9999 6800 TD (128meg) Unlocked no OC . Driver V. 84.21
    RAM : 1024 meg DDR (1x512 2x256)
    Motherboard : Asus P4P800-SE
    OS : Win XP SP1

That's really wierd...! can't be the unlocked card doing that! We have a similar pc, and i never had that problem after unlocking my Geforce 6800. Check if theres any Windows process using a big % of your cpu. Check if Ultra DMA is enabled on your HD. Disconnect all usb devices and try again.

Ohh btw, you should trade those 2x 256MB to another single 512MB, dual channel memory gives you more performance.

Unlock the card again, you will have better performance. About Obvilion, that's a very heavy game, you must use low settings, 128MB is not enough to run it with high settings.

I think 84.25 drivers can give better performance with Obvilion, but you can try the latest 84.43.

Muahaha nothing works :p updated my driver to 84.43 and now when I run Oblivion and meet 1-3 NPC in the game, It just lag ...lag so much the sound stops ...

Is it possible that I may have destroyed my GFX by unlocking the pipes and verts???

I think your PSU is not handling the extra power needed by the Asus 6800..

your going to need at least a Good 400W PSU for that card and a P4 / both overclocked

Well, he's not overclocking, neither cpu or video card, only pipe unlocking. But sure a 400W PSU with at least 18A-20A on the +12v rail is advised for a 6800NU (i used to run my 6800NU with a 400W +12 16A PSU but never had a single problem)

OK i lunched FarCry before I unlocked the GFX i could run @ VERY HIGH with no lag whatsoever. And i tryed it now when i had unlock the pips and verts and disable them again ..even the main screen is lagging so much the sound is stopping ... this is very uncommon right ?
O sorry dint mention this before ..i have 400W PSU

O some 3Dmark03 results 6954 (free version test all test)

Yes, its a good score, it's fully unlocked and oc 385/900. But the performance in some games is getting limited because of being a 128MB card :(
