    is it possible do bios flash mod on 6800xt agp?

    same mod like on 6800 /gt/ultra and get quadro 4000

    i read that dell bios have 12/5 in bios enabled not full
    and 6800xt can be unlocked to that 12/5 setup (even to 16/5)
    only problem will be 128 mb memory and her timing

    tnx

    edit btw agp version

    6800 XT is Nvidia's 110-nanometer replacement for the 130-nanometer 6800 LE.
    While the 6800 LE was made for AGP with a NV40 GPU,
    6800 XT was originally made for PCI Express, with a NV41 GPU - so that one is not moddable at all. :(

    A few AGP versions of 6800 XT have appeared, like
    XFX GeForce 6800 XT 128MB DDR
    - my guess is that they have not-moddable NV41 with a PCIE-to-AGP bridge.
    EDIT:
    But, maybe not! In the 83.40 drivers there is a new 6800 XT / AGP with NV48
    (NV48 is the 110nm replacement for NV40, and it is also moddable)
    NVIDIA_NV48.DEV_0218.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT "
    If your card have this, you can soft-mod it..! :)

    If you can afford a little more, get the 6800 GS (AGP 8X) (12x1,5) with NV40 or NV48 :)

    so :)))))))))))))))

    wanted to bios and use that unwinder plugin to take strap setings and to add in bios + mine volt up to 1.4 and oc to 400/750
    but on vgatest he give some glitches like pixel quad is off
    and on soft mod all ok

    Hehe, nice!! :thumbup:

    Yes, I just noticed that there is some new 6800 XT / AGP cards that are based on NV48,
    NVIDIA_NV48.DEV_0218.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT "
    and if one straps from 0218 to 021E, then one will get Quadro FX 4000 features out of that.

    Just out of curiosity, would you be so kind as to post RivaTuner's
    Graphics subsystem diagnostic report here?
    The "Display adapter information" and "NVIDIA specific display adapter information" is what I'm interested in.

    Thank you very much! :)

    Aha.. you card is a 6800 LE, after all...!

    The proof is this:
    "$0100000001 Hardwired ID : 0042 (ROM strapped to 004e)"

    So, the card's original, hardwired ID is 0042
    And if you look at some nv4_disp.inf driver file, you will see..

    ..in the [NVIDIA.Mfg] section:
    %NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0042.1% = nv4_NV4x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0042

    ..and then in the [Strings] section:
    NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0042.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 LE"

    Since the NV48-based XT cards and the NV40-based LE cards have the exact same functionality,
    (only the NV48 is cheaper for NVIDIA to create, because of the 110 nm processing),
    - I guess some card manufacturers are selling LE cards re-badged as XT.

    What is the name of your card?

    Well, Leadtek is actually stating that it uses 6800 LE on this page
    http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/3d_graphic/default.asp?lineid=1

    WinFast A6800XT TDH is powered by nVIDIA's GeForce 6800 LE GPU, which using the advanced 0.13 micro process technology...

    So it's not like they are trying to hide it.

    And the funny thing is that if you click the "Driver" button for this card,
    http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/suppo...y&downlineid=111&downline=WINFAST A6800XT TDH
    you will get a custom made 77.77 from 2005, August 30th.
    Since this date was before the 6800 XT was introduced, your card will show up as "WinFast A400 LE" if you install it,
    because they have modified the [Strings] section in nv4_disp.inf to

    NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0042.1 = "WinFast A400 LE"

    But if you download their latest custom-made 83.10 driver from
    ftp://ftp.leadtek.com.tw/entertainment_graphics/Drivers/060104/8310_all.exe
    - you will see that 0042 is still "WinFast A400 LE", and that there is infact another ID mapped to the A6800XT:

    %NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0048.1% = nv4_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0048

    NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0048.1 = "WinFast A6800XT"

    And 0048 is in reference 81.86 WHQL and 84.21 drivers mapped as

    NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0048.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 XT"

    :nerd:
