    No a 7900 for AGP comes with a minimum of 20 pipes because the 7800 Core production is stopping and the 7900 Core is the next Core ! ;)

    Really? A 7600 agp with the performance of a 7600GT would be really nice. But it all depends on the price. I wouldnt pay more than 220$

    But the 7600 GS AGP is slower than a 7800 GS

    If i remember correctly, alot of people didnt think they would make a 7800 AGP, but they did. You still must keep in mind that the majoriety of PC's still use AGP, after a few runs of 7900 chips have been processed, they will use the lesser ones for AGP users. Im guessing its just like what they did with 6800 LE chips, the ones that didnt work right with all the piplines open, or produced too much heat, they lock out some of the pipes and under-clock them. This all makes sense to me, corperate marketing wise.

    How reliable are your "sources"? Did your sources mention whether we'll have an AGP 7600GS? Cuz right now it seems to be just a PCI-E card for HD in PCs
    Whatever that means...

    and the 7600GS turns out to be PCI-e.... and clocked lower then the 7600GT

    looks like the 7800GS was the last straw for AGP

    Yeah, what a letdown! Only option now is for an overpriced 7800GS

    I do not care... S754 PCI-e board costs only 50€ and AGP card would cost higher than same PCI-e card. I was smart XD and bought 939DUAL-SATA2 ;).

    They didn't have a mobo like that when I got my setup back at the end of 2004. And I've seen that those mobos don't OC and perform as well, though of course with a CPU like yours it doesn't matter as much.

    im still considering going PCI-e, a asus k8n4-e + 7600GT will cost me the same as a 7800GS.... my only real concern here is the power supply, as i dont have a 24 pin one yet

    but right now, upgrading to PCI-e is becomming more and more attractive, not only do you have more options, but in the higher segments the bang for the buck is the same, even including a mobo upgrade

    Your "reliable" sources were wrong about G71 so your sources can be wrong this time too... Personalli I dout that there will be 7900 AGP card.

    oh believe me there will be. first came 6800GS, then 7800GS, then 7800GS AKA GT with 20 pipes, the 7900GS is next, and i personally dont care if it will have all 24 or just 20 pipes - the news is good.

    Wolverine69r the 84.26 apparently have this line in em...
    NVIDIA_G71.DEV_0292.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS"
    It might be an idea to tell Regeneration and see if we can confirm this. Still not a guarantee that it is an agp card but it will confirm that a new 7900 is comming.

    I wonder why they call it a 7800gs if it's just a bridged 7900gt.

    NVIDIA prohibits them to release a 7900GT AGP card, that's why they are releasing it "in disguise"... ;)
