6800GS to 7600GT?

it makes a huge difference when OC'ing. At the setting where I got 3100 my CPU was at 2300 with RAM at 208MHz 2 3 3 6. With the RAM I want to get it will do 230MHz 2 2 2 5 with the CPU at 2300 also. So that alone will make a noticeable difference. It would probably net me a 2k CPU score or close to it. Right now im at 1754 I believe.

 

I'd pick the 7800GT over the 7600GT since the both cost the same at where i live.

 

You have a 16 pipe 6 vertex, 256 bit bus 6800gt.
The 7600gt has 12 pipes, 5 vertex and a 128 bit bus.
I know the new core has some good performance improvements over the 6800gt core but 4k in 3dmark06 with a 7600gt is still impressive.

 

Hardly any at all. Your 3dMark 05 and 06 overall score is almost entirely GPU dependant.
