My good friend actually shot this one. I'm pretty mucha novice at the sport. But it was pretty exciting to be free diving. It was National Geographic meets Discovery channel type stuff. Really cool. We were only in the water for about 60-90 minutes. Got an octopus while we were out there too. BBQing the fish tomorrow.
What is it? Giant trevally? I used to spearfish in my earlier days, snorkel only, it's a real buzz, good for fitness too.
It has a few different names. Kahala, campache, amberjack. This one was at least 25lbs. It is really good exercise, cause I slept for a long time last night. About 10 hours. I just woke up. Almost time to have some fresh fish from the ocean. For free. When I get my first big kill I'll definitely show you guys.
Possibly they do. I know there are plenty worms in the fish, in the head area I think. But the fish tastes really good. My friend who speared it is also a cook at a five star five diaomand resort so dinner tonight will defiinitely be really good.
We just finished our meal/party, and the octopus was done (tako poke) hawaiian style. It was really, really, good. The firsh, we are going to split up tomorrow. I thought we were goingto eat the fish today. OH well. Gotta wait till tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy it... I personally love fishing. I haven't ever gone spearfishing but i love just sitting back and having a beer in one hand a fishing rod in the other and good company. Mmm.
I love to go fishing, but I really don't like eating fish, or any type of seafood, come to think of it... Except breaded prawns with ALOT of sauce! I just don't like the taste - love fishing, though!
I want to go fishing! Then I can take my capture and put it in a big swimming pool and feed it! Spear fishing seemd scary. Maybe something to do but gotta learn how to float first.
