Radeon X300SE - Red Dots... Every game

    I'm getting red dots in textures playing every game I own. It's not overclocked, the heat isn't be an issue as I have tried 2 different heatsinks with it. It's brand new... I have tried the latest ATI drivers as well as the ones that came with the card.

    Any suggestions? I have attached a few screenshots.

    I revised the post. Take a look at the second (zoomed) picture and tell me that looks nice. I'm not sure what's causing this.

    Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon X300SE 128MB PCI-E (until the new nvidia G80 comes out)
    Sound Card: Sound Blaster XFi Platinum

    ATI 6.2 Video Drivers

    that is noticable,I would have guessed to much oc,maybe try underclock for a test,this may be an rma situation if possible

    such a killer system, with such a sh!t card.....why dont you buy a mid-end card to hold you through until the g80's come out later this year? such as a 6600gt.

    a x300 is sooo rubbish y even bother with it, dont expect any better performance from it.

    It's only temporary until the G80 comes around...

    Another thing, 3DMark03 runs fine - no red dots. Weird.

    I can't wait... DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4! So I guess I'm stuck with this card and its red dots until then. d'oh.

    I got the RMA today, the original card was defective. This will keep me happy until DirectX10/SM4.0!

    I'll end up with vista too to stay current,I'll do the 6 month post release adoption though,nice one getting your part exchanged
