ok i know it's lame to ask about this but i was wondering if there was any certain driver that works better for the card than other drivers? for example, which works better, the 7x.xx drivers or the 8x.xx drivers? does anyone have any experience with this?
I have the same GPU card as you. I have only had the card two weeks but so far the 81.xx series is great! If you read the release notes from Nvidia it will also show what driver fixes what. From the driver release notes, the 81.xx series has the most fixes for the 7800 series. Good luck!
It has given me the best performance overall. I don't just mean in some synthetic benchmark like the 3DMark series, but the games themselves. Albert
