Can’t wait till the 85.xx come out !

Every day I check guru3d hoping to see these damn things around...err
I seriously need smooth 1080p playback to avoid having those embarrassing moments of choppy playback while showing friends videos and trailers etc...

I hope these drivers also improve performance on non HD videos too..
Is it a matter of weeks or months for these to come out ?

I don't believe that. Is diferent.

HDCP is a security tecnology, is true, but for H264 decodec is completly separated.

PureVideo decode NOW perfectly HD contents in WMV and MPEG-2 to 1080. For H264 in 1-2 month for 6600GT+ and other is posible.

 

Considering they just re-released the 81.98, I'd rather guess it's months away.

Oh, yeh, I dont thing HDCP has nothing to do with the trailers. Its basically for HD-DVD or BD movies.

I don't think they'll do it if bugs are still around.
They want another perfect nail for ATI.

 

Doesnt X1900XT have H.264 support already. But anyways at least Nvidia is helping older cards like the 6 series to support H.264. Well I hope of course.

Other then that guys i honestly didn't expect it to take so long to come out...
Cant complain much atleast they're releasing it....
