    Hey all
I know bios flashing is bad and can stuff the card, anyway, what i want to know is if I could possibly be able to flash this card to a XFX 6800GS Extream Edition or just a GT? And if so where would I find bios files?

OR would just unlocking the extra pipes and overclocking it be just as good and safer?

    Cheers

Edit: Card is on its way, should be a couple of days away :)

Yes you can. It's only an OVERCLOCKED version.
Before you do so, be sure your card can absorb the Heat and OC.
Mine does 415/1200mhz whit the stock Cooler.
I can go higher but I don't like my card in the 80c's!

I flashed mine whit custom Core/mem clock, Fans speed, voltage...
    It's practical

yeah ok...I will be putting a Zalman ZF-700 on it, with the mem sinks, how do you apply a custom bios?....

First you Need NBitor 2.6a to retreive the Bios and to change the values (Very easy).
And nvflash 5.25 to flash the card.

In nBitor you'll have to change the performance level to 3 to be able to change all the values. It's not complicated. (The indicator will become yellow but it's ok. It only mean bios value are changed. Just save it and it's Green again.)

    Whit nvflash;
nvflash -r to removes any protections
nvflash -b old.rom to backup the original bios
    nvflash -4 -5 -6 to flash it.

Oh and you'll need a floppy drive whit Windows Me boot disk to boot in dos.

I really like custom Bios because I don't have to re-overclock the card each time I install new driver.

yeah thats what I was wanting, would be much better for the card to just be overclocked already,....now I just need to get a floppy drive....lol

I got the card today, the pipelines didnt work but the vertex did, got me 5447 in 3dmark 05 and 2817 in 06.

I cant seem to get the bios thing to work but...it tells me that it cant open the C:/cwsdpmi.swp and when I go to update the bios it says it cant open the .rom files....

anyone know whats goin on there?
