which video card could get me 100FPS in Counter-strike Source with resolutions of 1280x1024 up to 1600x1200

so far i really like the X800GTO2 = Flash it into a X850XTPE but would it achieve 100FPS in those high resolutions?

any other card you could recommend? (i've read reviews and such but they're for HALF LIFE2, not CS:S in particular - so i'm posting) thanks

edit: going to upgrade my computer

3200+ and 2GIG of RAM etc

Your processor and ram are a bit on the low side, so that may prove as some type of bottleneck. But yeah that card would be a wise choice. :)

I get 100fps steady in CS:S with my setup in 1280x1024 all settings on high 6xaa 16xAF,
    Same videocard basically.

Your going to need more then a videocard though.

    I have 110 fps (no AA, no AF) with my gfx card and 95 fps @ 6xAA + 16AF @ 1280x1024.

It'll be playable with 8x AF and maybe 2x AA.

    That's what I remeber.

Tough, that processer is a bit slow.

    Watts, try around 400W.

Well u cant really pay attention to wattage nowadays. Yeah sure u might see this really cheap psu with like 550w. But its not gonna really have 550w and its gonna die on u. You have to pay attention to the 3.3v, 5v. and 12v rails. Well that gets into a bit of a headache. If you wanna be on the safe side. Get a quality brand name psu. Antec, FSP, ENERMAX, Sparkle are all great. Make sure its compliant with ur motherboard (24pin or 20 pin.) And make sure it has dual 12v rails on it. With a quality psu i would look at around 420-450w. Never ever shirk on the psu. If it fails itll take everything along with it to the deep fires of PC hell.

My cpu isn't even close to being capable of averaging 100fps, so yours would be a lot worse.

No matter what graphics card you gets your frame rate will drop to the single digits at times.

for a power supply i would suggest the vantec ion2, 460w, i read a few reveiws and in every one it came out above a LOT of the other good name brand ones.

3200+ A64 or AXP?? if its an athlon 64 it'll work well, if its an athlon xp dont bother, do what most of us do, get a barton 2400-2600+ and overclock, thats what i did.

    ^ nice

    i just did 1280x1024 i got 75FPS

    1024x768 with 2xAA and 16xAF = 85FPS

if i do anything above 2xAA i get purple blotches in some textures, any ideas on that?? or is it just a glitch of some sort??

The game coding are really ****ed up, although it uses HL2 engine, my friend played hl2 with Radeon 9550 on highest setting+1024x768 with pc like mine except the CPU was P4 2.4(Northwood)and he got 50 FPS, freaky ****!! lol well i play CS:S but it can go 45-50 FPS on CS_Italy sometimes but in other cases it's 15-25 FPS even with lowest graphic, I HATE THAT!!!

Why does everyone want 100FPS or more? The human eye can't see more than 60 FPS (if i'm right) so if you put all on high and you get about 60/70+++ fps it's fine!!!

Agent_D and P@pi have you tryed to reinstall CS:S yet?
