I just got a Nvidia Geforce 6800 128MB PCI-E, SLI ready NEW for 119.00.It also has TV-Out: HDTV/S-Video Out. IN: CATV, FM, S-video, COMP, Stereo. I never seen a nvidia 6800 with a tv tuner especially the 75ohm cable input output. That guy has been listin these cards one right after another. He also sells the 6600GT with vivo but needs a special box plus doesn't have 75ohm cable in out like the 6800.I think it is a nvidia sample.Has any of you seen a 6800 with tv tuner?I seen these go as high as 165.00 of him.I waited my time and got it at the minium 119.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8745365683&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEBI:IT&rd=1 just click the link and go to view seller's items. That is a hell uva deal if ya ask me.I live in PA and it ships from California so I won't have my card for close to like 10 days.
uhh I dont get what you mean by "It doesn't open unless its AGP"... open? wha? EDIT: Stupid me, I got to learn how to read. And yes, the locked pipes will not open on the PCI-E version because it uses a different core from the AGP version. anyhow I love the Doom 3 sticker on it. Uber leet.
Thats cool if it doesn't unlock.I was really happy with the price and the fact it has a tv tuner with the 75ohm in and out.I will get good enough performance out of it.At least the games I play and want to play.Is it normal clocks for a pci-e 6800 350 core 600 memory?
Can you show me a pic of your Video card?? I have never seen a TV tuner with 6800 GPU. I would like to see if I can find it somewhere in google.
I gave the link in the 1st post but here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8745365683&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEBI:IT&rd=1 .I never seen one either. That is why I was thinkin of gettin a ati. Then I seen a 75ohm in and out and was shocked.I didn't think nvidia made them.Anyways its a sli card to boot.By the looks of the card I think its straight from nvidia.
Wow that's cool. And no, the core clock is usually 325 so a little boost there. But it definitely has a TV Tuner, it has that 6-pin connector which isn't usually on the vanilla 6800.
I just noticed that it has one s/vidio out and the other one that looks like on has ten holes but in shape of s/video out.Is that a hdtv output?
whoa, ive never seen anything like that on a 6800nu, or any other version of the 6800. a few details you might want to go over though- 1)Based on the description on the ebay item, its memory is clocked at 600mHz, it is usually 700 Mhz for stock ones, so you're down 100 there. 2) there is NO cooling on the memory chips, and so I would STRONGLY recommend an aftermarket cooler, almost at all costs. this is my choice- http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=40 whoops, i just realized installing that cooler might be impossible with that extra row of outputs/inputs. you may be able to get the zalman cooler http://overclockpc.org/informes/perifericos/otros/vf700culed/
I think ya are wrong there.Msi 6800 pci-ex is 325 core 600 memory here http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-MSI-NX6800-...743784273QQcategoryZ40161QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I also found a bfg 6800 oc with 256mb memory at 600 memory.I think most pci-ex cards memory is down clocked. That is to make the performance of the pci-ex to be close to the agp counter part. Also gddr3 memory runs so cool you don't need coolin on stock settings.I do plan to get a zalman cooller and it comes with heatsinks for ram.I like how that cooler also makes the ram sinks active with the fan blowin thru the block onto them.
I see that u already own a 6800 Golden Sample. Is it 128mb? AGP or PCI-E? Ur CPU & overall rig seems very nice. So why want to buy another slower 6800? Just wondering...If the GS u own is AGP, even SLI option is out of the equation. Yes...When it comes to the standard 6800's, the AGP versions are better because:- 1. They are clocked 325/700@stock compared to 325/600 for PCI-E. 2. They can be potentially unlocked to 16 pipes but the PCI-E r restricted to 12. Once again wondering why u should go for a slower card than what u have?
I need to change my specs.I sold my golden sample.I wasn't gamin much and the prices were dropin fast in the 6800's.So I got cash and a radeon 9800 pro.Which I just sold.I am upgradin to a pci-ex board.I had to get the 6800 when I seen it has a tv tuner built in.I kinda shocked me cause I didn't think they even made vivo 6800's let alone tv tuner cards.I really think these have to be straight from nvidia. They have no markins that I can see. What a deal I think. You athor guys should jump on them. The agp is not better then the pci-ex cause of the ram.The ram in underclocked in the pci-ex because it runs better then the agp with same clocks. They are lower to make up for the fact the pci-ex are faster at same speeds.
Even if the Ram speed deficit is no big deal as u say about which I still have my reservations, u cannot escape the fact that 16 pipes is better anyday than just 12. Also, do not forget the 6th vertex shader that can be unlocked. I also noticed that u had some wicked clocks on ur GS...I think it was 395/900+. DO NOT EVEN THINK of getting anywhere close to 900Mhz in memory clock on the PCI-E version. Even with ram sinks, volt-mods, hard-mods & the like, u will be hardpressed to match ur previous card. Please do not get me wrong. I'am just telling u the plain truth. U have just downgraded from a faster clocked card with 16 pipes to a slower card with just 12. It is still a sweet card, but if u had posted ur thread BEFORE placing the order u would have got 2 likely responses... 1. Stick to ur current setup. 2. If u want to switch to PCI-E get something like a 6800GT. Anyways, all the best & please no hard feelings.
Dude I said that I sold my gainward months ago.The reason I don't game much at all anymore. Also the extra quad in the gainward didn't improve the card that much.I got I think like 1200 more 3dmark03 score. The main reason I got the 6800 was the tv tuner.I don't game that much anymore.Since I got the 6800 I will most likely go get a few new games though.I bet I get some pretty good clocks on the card.I know know near where the GS was but very close to 10000 in 3dmark03.I think around 9500 I will get when I tweek it.
I emailed the guy I m gettin this 6800 off of.He says that Flextronics makes this card. They are an oem supplier and no retail. That makes sense because alot of companies are salin them entertainment systems hooked to tv's.I guess that is what this card would have been for and some gamin on a HD tv.I guess next week end I will have the card.Beginin of next week I will have my new Msi k8n neo3-f nforce 4 board. Can't wait to get the 6800 and the new pci-express system all up and runnin and get some bench marks. There is a nforce4 sli socket 754 out now by epox. The only thing is it runs 1 pci-e card down 8 lanes. So unless you get both of your pci-e cards at once with the board it would be stupid.I seen some bechmarks and the 939 only scored better in memory test.It did no better in gamin then the 754 system with single channel memory. So I guess 939 systems are not better at gamin then 754 systems.
I just noticed that stock 6800 pci-e cards get all their power from the pci-e socket.Thing is the 6800 I am gettin has the 6 port power cable plged into it.Wonder why any ideas?
I thought that at 1st too.Thing is a tv tuner doesn't use lots of power like gamin does.Remember all the early ati yv tuners that were pci and agp now of them needed extra power.I guess I will wait and see what its like.Wish somone else here had one of them.Remember this guy has alot of these cards. Also alot of 6600GT personal cinema cards but missin the box that plugs into it.Bet ya never would find one for it either. The 6800 start at 119.00 and the 6600gt's at 100.I got my 6800 for 119.00.That was a steal if ya ask me.I bet he is the only place you can get a 6800 tv tuner. So cheap too.
Great deal regardless. Maybe the connection is used as a precaution JUST incase you don't get enough power.
