Where do you get I have never installed a tweaked driver before...??

I usually try about everyone I can find and check if it actually improves on the situation. I tweak anything that can be tweaked software wise. That is why I made the post. Aside from the great softmods I have almost never seen any true gain in modded drivers.. Exkweese me for just giving you MY opinion. You don't have to like it.

Again, don't take me for a newbie bro because of my postcount. Believe, I've been around longer than I there have been PC's... I was just making a point here. Everyone is free to use whatever driver they want.

these drivers ran my games great but i kept getting bsod with a "nv4_disp.dll" error.

uninstalled them and went back to the 8189 driver which runs great.

 

the drivers works great for me little fps loss but sligthly better image quality

I went from 61.11 on my 5900xt to these & lets just say I couldn't stop grinning for most of last night through to this morning (I was stress testing the card as it's new - £77 including VAT & Postage). It seems that the 5900xt is running a lot better than it did with the old drivers... Lol Farcry was feckin awesome high,ultra, holy, high ,ultra etc lol just amazing. I also passed them to a friend today who has an AMD 64 CPU @ 3000+ with 1.5gb pc3200 & a 6600GT AGP 128 mb card, that was running very much faster on Doom3 & Quake 4 @ high detail, super slick you might say, (it wasn't super slick before).

It's not as "blind" as you'd think. I have a, well, "large" might be an understatement list of tweaks, all the settings, and what they do. Mind you I've had more bluescreens then a windows beta tester in order to find them all, but you know, comes with the business.

And as for the PCILatency tool, if you dig hard enough, it's useless too

And just to help improve product, what exactly is it you want to see from a modded set that you don't see yet? Be it NGO, the, well, 'other guys", DHzer0point, etc???

PJ, if you say that the pci latency tool is useless... then your nothing but a hack.

adjusting the pci latency on the ide bus of many a KT board has seen NSF:MW stuttering disappear

adjusting vga latency has seen NFSU stuttering stop

adjusting agp latency gives a crisper feeling on most games.

 

I've uninstalled them I don't think it's compatable with my sys/card...
kept on crashing.... it's a shame as they were deffinately faster... damn.
Maybee they're not fully compatable Farcry worked great but GTA-SA was buggered... . I wiped & reinstalled my system to make sure.
Real shame but they work great on a 6600gt AGP AMD64 system that I know.

 

So it's totally safe? I don't wanna say good bye to my new 6600 GT. ^^

Oh, I'm nto saying it's effects are useless.....I can personally vouch for them.

I'm simply sayign you don't need a tool to go set them to 64, when you can hardcode that into the INF to begin with and save end users the time.

* Not all the cards support programmed PCI Latency by the driver.
* Many motherboards doesnt have this feature in the BIOS.
* Many users doesnt know how to setup the BIOS.
* Changing the 3D card Latency is NOT ENOUGH. And may decrease performance and cause issues. You have to fit all the other devices as well.
