Those cpus.. whatever one i buy will being going into an asus premium sli board... my question is do i stand a chance in ocing either of those cpus with Cas 2.5 Samsung pc3200 512mb i have 3 sticks total to 1.5 gig will a divider work for me seeing as how i have 3 sticks of 512... further.. do u think i could run them in 1T mode...if i can oc i will obviously go with the 3200.. thanks
from what ive read, 3200 and the 3700 are quite equal but 3700 has 1mb cache, im not sure about the oc'ing but i pretty much have the same ammount of ram like you and also have values ram chips,i just got my 3700+ today and i will see how far i can push it with these value rams that i got. ill let u kno by tonight or tomorrow when ever i have the time
Nope no dual channel with three sticks. If he wanted to dual channel 1.5gig he would need 2x512 sticks (1gig) and 256x2(512mb), If I'm correct.
thanks guys... ya this ram is coming from a 2600Mobile amd system.. budget doesnt allow for new ram would be better for me to get 3200 but if i cant oc it with this ram then i will have to spring for the 3700... looking forward to ur results sila..
