i didn't expect these would fix it...

COMPLAIN TO EA, this is a problem they have created... also theres a setting in the registry you should try disabling for the game to use the pagefile effectively

    HI guys,

Always remove old drivers at control panel, then reboot to Safe Mode.

Run Driver Cleaner 3 to remove stubborn registry, inf, dll (BSOD), etc..This is really big difference over install exsits will create more problems with old driver and new driver mixed together.

DO clean on Nvidia, then Drivers.cab then SP2.cab then close.

Install new drivers then restart to windows.

I have no plm with uninstall/install drivers even never get any BSOD on me if you are smart enough to take care of.

    Iam downloading and install soon.

    Peace

its mentioned in the NFS:MW tweakguide...

    read that

phatbx.. cab cleaner is worthless if the driver is uninstalled properly

Is nvidia even optimizing their new drivers for better I.Q. and performance on the 6800 cards anymore or are they only concentrating on the 7800 cards? The image quality of all of the 8xxx drivers looks horrible on my 6800GT and game performance isn't any better either. Trying new drivers seems to be pointless, at least for me anyway. Seems like I always end up back with the 77.77's. :frown:

Running the card on an old Asus nForce2 Deluxe 2.0 board with the latest available 5.10 mobo drivers, bios also the latest... :chainsaw:

I have them installed on another system identical to this one bar the video card (swapping this card over) and the results are the same, FW 8x.xx gives nothing but corrupt graphics, the 7x.xx drivers works 100% glitch free.

The remix drivers work fine =)

Does anyone know if the bug where there are video problems when Java is running has been fixed?

    That's a show-stopper for me.

    Thanks.

    wierd, hmm.
they might be more sensitive to your modding of the card!

I never understood this advice, do people really do this? I always just install them over the existing versions, and I've never had any kind of problem whatsoever.

i did that at one stage as well robert, then i got a huge amount of artifacts in halo everytime i ran it... uninstalling the drivers and running Det Destroyer fixed it

since then i just uninstall before installing newer drivers

It's even recommended on nvidia's website to properly uninstall old drivers before installing new ones.

damn, i was hoping they would have another performance fix for CoD2, but i guess it's all in IW's court now. won't have time to test these right away so i'm looking forward to the BF2 reports :mad3:

Possible but unlikely since I've tested this card extensively looping various games/benchmarks with countless hours of testing for any slight signs of graphical glitches, guess I'll have to test the card on a newer nForce 3/4 board with those drivers to be sure.
