Ok Im about to order a 7800 GT PCI-Express card and a DFI nf4 ultra-d motherboard My question is what card should I get, iam thinking evga or xfx(kinda leaning toward xfx) but Iam open to considering others, let me know thanks.
I was wondering the same thing . Which card to get . They range in price from 300 and up with not alot of difference in specs.
I would go with BFG mainly for the lifetime warrenty and its already OCed so u dont have to. It is a cheap card from BFG to $350 with a free copy of COD2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143042
bfg is good dont get me wrong, I use one of there cards currently and I've used one of theirs before my current one, the first one died for no good reason and RMA process wasnt exactly "swift n' smooth" so I probally wont get one of their cards again due to their higher prices and i was'nt thrilled with them in the past
@gabe The evga 7800GT CO is the way to go! Many reasons, warranty ..game..performance and looks! Its possibly the closest to a GTX ull get for a great price.
im gona say EVGA because I have been with them forever and have never had a bad experince with them anyways When I register with EVGA I get Quake 4
eVGA...cant go wrong the performance rocks, and you get the 90-day step-up if needed, lifetime warranty, and free OEM softwares.
I just bought an eVGA 7800GT and it did not come with any games, don't know why...I was expecting something. Also, the fan died after about 3 days...probably not indicative of eVGA, but mine had to be RMA'd. This is my first computer build, so I don't have a lot of experience with this company, but my first impression was not great. John
