noob question but...

whats the difference between A64 San Diego and FX San Diego?

im gonna be getting a san dieago 3700+ and clock it to the fx55 speeds and just wondering what the difference is.

 

The FX's clock multiplier is completely unlocked, with the 3700 you'll only be able to lower the multiplier.

dual core? If that's what your asking, then no, the next FX due out, FX60?, is supposed to be dual core @ 2.8, I belive.

 

all this time i thought an fx has dual... x2 has it tho right?

 

the FX-60 has 2x 2,6ghz

the X2s have two cores
and the FX-multi is only unlocked to 24 afaik

 

Yeah but the Fx-60 doesn't come out for a month or two..

just another question...could the 3700 clock to fx-57 speeds stable? i would be cooling it with the zalman 7000b-cu, my ram isnt that good either(guessing im gonna have to buy a good kit).
