My apologies, I'm currently doing some urgent changes in other commercial project, so 15.8 launch date will be probably shifted on Monday 5th.

If you had ventured to read two posts up (a few hours before yours), 5/12/05 is the updated estimate.

If you have ever developed software in your spare time while holding down a 24h/day regular job, you will fully appreciate that "Rome was not built in a day."

Now go and download Google Earth. :)

What about the problem in Geforce 6200 GPU's?

They are being detected as NV4A instead NV44A. Secondly the memory bus is detected as 0-bit instead of 64-bit and thirdly the Clock Speeds are'nt detected properly....

Another Request from me would be if you could find out the reason behind the Overclocking Bug in the Geforce 6200 Cards.... even rivatuner fails to overclock??

NV44A is in 15.8, forgot t mention it in release note. But stress test failure preventing you from o/c has nothing common with "bug".

Is today still the 'official' release date unwinder, or has it been delayed?

Also, let me know if you ever need another beta tester now or in the future........

LOL :D People should make more link jokes, they work well as you have to wait for the punchline to hit as you follow the link ;)

I'm sure glad I got one of the older NV43 6200's. I'm not having any of the problems you other guys are having.

    I have found this text:

"But there is a fly in the ointment, as usual. In this case, it a warning from the author of Riva Tuner regarding the difficulties in unlocking pipelines in NV43-based 6200 with À4 revision of the chip – judging by the response from owners of such boards, the card does not react to the attempts to change the pipelines configuration. Also, GeForce 6200 based on NV44A offering native support for the AGP where you can't enable additional four pipelines is expected to be released soon. But it's quite possible that solutions on the base of NV44A will be somehow cheaper than their NV43 analogs because of the lack of HSI bridge and thus reduction in production costs. But we'll sort this out next time, and now move on to the benchmarking part."

iirc, nv44 is impossible to unlock, and nv43 A1 and nv43 A2 are unlockable.

Once again: if you cannot o/c display adapter due to _driver's_issues_ then _don_t_ expect fix from RT's side. Look for fixed driver instead.

Good news, I was still able to find some free time and release 15.8 today. The distributive is sent to Hilbert and will be available for download soon.

    Stay tuned! ;)
