Wondering why it says on my chip Radeon X800 pro right above R430??
And my core looks exactly like i saw a picture of an X800 XL core someone posted. THX for all the info.

Interesting for me because I have the same 2 lines except for Die_fuses ,I got letter D where you have 7.I was under the impression that needs to be letter f?

 

Why does it need to be letter f??? If u r thinking i got the 4 locked pipelines that is not the case. I did it instead of ocing. It seems easier. I get much better score in 3Dmark ( from 3800 it jumped to 4500 ). I am sorry if someone was fooled by my post.

Hmmm R430, and I have a ASUS AEX800GTO, should by R480
ref Hilberts review of the X800GT and GTO:
Radeon X800 GTO R480 12 400 MHz 500 MHz

Right? (clocks match those stated by Hilbert)

Connect3D X850 pro ViVo AGP / R481 core (500/500)

16 pipes unlockable, tried flashing X850 XT AGP, X850 XT PE and a modded X850 pro 16 pipes BIOS with modded and unmodded flashrom and atiflash, but no luck -> still 12 pipes.
After reading this thread i see why ...

At least it is running stable @ 550/600 and perhaps even more...

What should I do to try unlocking fourth quad?

 

this is how i flashed my 850pro to an xt pe.

atiflash -newbios -f -p 0 biosname.bin

and you will have the last 4 pipes enabled ok.
don`t forget to buy a new hsf

tsaMolotoff you can flash to an 800 xt pe but make sure you get a new hsf like the one pictured in my avatar a zalman Fatal1ty

 

Why I need that BIG cooler?

I can decrease memory and GPU frequencies to x800 default level!

Should I use any x800xt PCI-E bios?
