    Wow... so many problems...
Mine is ... new(?)... I can't watch DVDs... Period.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled PowerDVD 6.
I tried using WMP 10. No go either way...
AVIs play fine... just not DVDs... haven't even bothered with games yet! Erg... this is what I get for leaving my 77.30 drivers... :(

if you don't play Guild Wars, try a slightly earlier driver like 81.89 or 81.94... a lot of people who are having problems with 81.95 said those drivers worked much better for them. I think they did something to the drivers (in 81.95) to fix the Guild Wars bug, but now its affecting a lot of people in other areas. I haven't had any problems with the 81.xx series (besides Guild Wars), just make sure the driver is meant for desktops also (yea 81.95 is but you know what I mean :p ), I know new 82.04 is a modded laptop driver. Don't give up on the 81.xx series I'm sure one of them will give u better performance than 77.30...

So how do you explain it being fine with 77.30 but not 81.95??? :(
Anyhoo, I'd like to avoid that if possible... I will try Driver Cleaner and then try rolling back to 81.89 and if both don't work, I will try updating mobo drivers...

All's fine now... it is just PowerDVD 6... I tried the WinDVD 7 and it's fine.

Works fine for me with 81.94. Had problems with 81.89 though but worked ok in 77.72 & 77.77. Maybe a PowerDVD issue.
