The NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver is a tweaked version of the NVIDIA ForceWare driver. The main purpose is to satisfy the users with better performance and image quality. The Driver has support for all Geforce cards.

    Download for Windows XP/2000

The question is: why this driver still isn't present on a guru3d's site, and it is present on a couple of other sites for a few days now?

Here are my modest performance benchmarks on 3D Mark 03:
    NGO Optimized Drivers 81.85: 1780 (don't laugh :))
    NGO Optimized Drivers 81.89: 1775
I haven't tested it on any games yet because I don't play much those days.

Whenever I try to use DirectX with these drivers my comp reboots, I've tried with NGO 76.71 and it's fine. I'm gonna try to download these again but is there anything different I should do when installing these?

That's with 64bit Windows, gonna try 32bit today.

these drivers work very nicely for me, i saw an increase of performance in CoD2 (with dx9) Quake 4, and a large increase in F.E.A.R :) way to go guys! :D

these drivers for x64 cause my computer to go into a never-ending loop of restarting itself. As soon as my desktop comes up, about 5 seconds later, the computer restarts itself automatically. It appears that the restart my be happening when the computer loads the nvidia icon down in the system tray. Never ahd the problem with video card drivers before so i dont even know what is causing it. Regular 81.89 x64 works but not these. I like NGO though, so no hard feelings.

    Athlon 3500+ x64
    2 Samsung SATA RAID0
    1 GIG PATRIOT 2-3-2-5 400mhz
    6800GT AGP

    no overclock on anything currently........

I don't reccommend using the newest drivers on your 5500. Try something in the high 60's like 67.xx.
