Hello, I am trying to install the Simplified Chinese language pack for my friend with Windows XP. When it prompts for the Windows XP CD, it tells me to retry. I have spent a couple of hours trying things out. Is there a Simplified Chinese MUI I can download? Any help would be appreciated, thanks, -vwR32
Did'nt you had another thread on this ?? http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=156843 Download : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/ime/install.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...1a-ca36-47a3-b4a0-2a1d19eefa05&displaylang=en
Yes, but the steps you gave me in the other thread required the Windows XP CD, which I had trouble with. Also, the two downloads you provided me with are not going to work (I have already tried them). The first one is for non-Windows XP systems, and the second one is the IME for Office XP. But thanks anyways, -vwR32
Ohh ... well my bad ........... :O :O http://seba.studentenweb.org/thesis/howto-winxp.php I did not understand. When it propmpts for the XP CD, you insert the CD and then it gives you a retry option ? Does clicking on retry gives you any browse option ? http://www.geocities.com/fontboard/cjk/winxp.html There are some 3rd party CJK enablers
Well after I hit the apply button, it tells me to make sure the CD is inside the CD Drive, and I have the option to retry or cancel. As for the third party programs, I have tried NJStar. But many of the Chinese symbols showed up as ?. I assumed that the Microsoft one would be better. Thanks for all the help so far, -vwR32
