    Everyones set-up is different, therefore drivers like this that work for some wont work for others. If they dont suit you, well thats bad news.

    These are the best drivers I have had for this card so far. Better FPS in games like FEAR and BF2, better 3DMark05 results, no bugs so far etc. So I vote these a winner

    I think this 8x.xx really mean for 7800 series and lots of bugs fixed under 7800 series.

    maybe best lastest driver 77.77 to 78.05 for 6800 series i guess.

    for right now I use WHQL 77.77 rocks. :D

    BTW, 400th posts celeberity :D

    Peace

    i dont know about yall, i didnt get the Texture bug in GW with these nor the Betas. and these seems to be working a tad better then the betas for me.

    just because you have problems do not mean i will and just because you dont like tiger woods and think no ones play it. do not mean your right.

    there are people that do play tiger woods games and games you may think its stupid to fix. dont base what people dont play on what you dont play , becaue diffent people have diffent taste in games.

    you may find tiger woods lame thats you but there others that find it fun to play.

    so far i knew these drivers would go WHQL cuz i didnt have no problems with them in beta. while 81.84 ran wasnt great for me with .81.84 i had the GW texture bug.

    Still just black screen in FarCry, Fear etc..
    Weird thing is OpenGL games seems to work just fine. No problems with Quake 4, and if i run WoW in OpenGL mode it works just fine.

    Seems like i am the only one having these black screen problems with 81.xx drivers...

    7800GTX and everything (HL2/CSS, BF2, Quake4) is running well. FPS increase, and smoother gameplay with 8xTSAA and 16xAA in HL2, and better FPS in Quake 4 multiplayer.

    These are working fine for me so far. No fps improvement over the 78.01s in fear or 3dMark ect.. Had I known that I would not have bothered to install them:p

    Did everyone over look:

    "Performance enhancements for dual-core CPUs"

    If this is true, Battlefield 2 or Half Life 2 will be running faster on dual core vs single core cpus because of this driver?

    How is this possible? How are these drivers utilizing dual core in pc games?

    Can anyone with a dual core cpu comment on your experience between this driver and the previous? Thanks.

    Yes provoco , they really are optimized for dual-core cpu's.

    I am running on a 4800X2 with SLi, and there s a difference about 20-30% faster !!

    that's true.

    make a quick search on the forum , there's a topic abour 81.84 and X2.

    I like these drivers in games such as BF2 and quake 4.. although my benchmark scores have decreased significantly.
    I went from 78.05 to 81.85: 3Dmark05 8000 to 6200 and Aquamark don't know to just a lousy 65,000 with these new drivers.

    Anyone know of any other driver in between 78.05 and 81.85 that is pretty good with a 7800gtx?

    You must have AA and/or AF forced on in nvidia control panel. I really doubt that these drivers cause such a performance drop down, especially on GF 7 series.

    3DMark2003 = 11900

    3DMark2005 = 5098

    I didn't get much of a chance to test other games / benches since I spent part of the night watching Batman Begins.

    However, I didn't get long pauses in UT2004.
