    agreed screen flickering on walls and from a distance.. tryed 7730s gained about 100 points in 3dmark 05 should be able to hit 6000+ with these.. bf2 runs very very sweet perfectly smooth for once :p cant say i notice a difference in iq compared to any optimised drivers i recommend 77.30s theyre very good after trying numerous optimised drivers including ngo and **'s.. dont get me wrong guys your drivers are awesome and im sure future sets will be better for my rig 77.30s just seem to like my system atm.. keep up the good work!!

    10 out of 10 i can now play my 2 main games as last nite on the lastest from Nvidia i was crashing .
    Seen this on the site gave them ago and no problems temps at 73 though but well below the warning temp.
    I had serious problems with any drivers other than 77.72 as either BF2 would play up or SOF 2 would go wrong big time .
    Good job

    I think these drivers might be sensitive to artifacts when overclocking... I noticed a bit of artifacting in the Fear Demo but I thought it was the demo but yes it was artifacting caused by too high of a memory clock.

    Maz_D thanks for mentioning the ATI tool thing, I had to adjust my clock setting slightly on my memory, without ATI tool I'd of never known that my memory was causing small artifacts. I'd say ATI is one of ATI's best programs and for sure the best to test for artifacts. I'd go as far to say for the top overclock you can't be vertified till you go through 20minutes of ATI tool without an artifact.

    Using the settings test in FEAR CMP Beta, these take my frames from 49 (pretty much all latest official drivers) to 54, with no image issues at all. Settings are everything max (no soft shadows), 1024-768, 2AA 16AF. Previous best was with NGO 77.72s, which gave me 53.

    Geforce 6600GT 256MB 3DMark05 Benchmarks:

    Forceware NGO Optimized 77.76 beta ( 600Mhz/1030Mhz )
    -> 4350

    Forceware Starstorm RC2 77.76 beta ( 602Mhz/1030Mhz )
    -> 4410

    Forceware 77.74 WHQL ( 600Mhz/1030Mhz )
    -> 4472

    Forceware 77.56 WHQL ( 600Mhz/1030Mhz )
    -> 4481

    Forceware TBS 77.74 WHQL ( 604Mhz/1030Mhz )
    -> 4485

    Forceware Xtreme G HD 77.76 beta ( 615Mhz/1030Mhz )
    -> 4533

    Forceware 77.30 beta ( 610Mhz/1030Mhz )
    -> 4536

    All drivers have been tested on the highest stable clock-setttings.
    This means that each driver was tested on the highest clock-setttings without artifacts in 3DMark05.

    I think that if they can fix the temperature, it could be a good driver.
    Xtreme G is the best performing 77.76 beta-driver so far for my computer.

    your comparing apples and oranges here. Some drivers are set to performance settings not quality... do the same to the other drivers and your bench mark numbers will change. Infact some of the other drivers might look the same and go faster if you match the settings with other drivers but I guess your benches tell us what their default setting get but I still get peaved how we have no bench mark graphic quality programs. That way we can have the bench score and a quality score to look at when wondering what drivers are best to your liking... for quality and frame rate smooothness NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver v1.7776 wins but for pure speed it's not your golden goose. I take quality here any day over pure speed.

    i never understand why people get on my case just for posting benchmarks, like it's some indictment of everyone else's rig if they don't prefer the same drivers that i do. i just bench 'em with the default settings for those who care. i'll grant that half of the people on this forum think benchies are worthless, but the rest are clamoring for them.

    if you want benchmarks of the same drivers across various performance settings - great! why not get to work on it yourself? let's say for argument's sake that i'm not convinced there's so great a difference in IQ among drivers. why not post some screenshots to illustrate your point? i think a lot of responsible and considerate gurus would thank you for your efforts, myself included. ;)

    How would I be able to take screen shots of the same place in a game everytime to compare image quality from different drivers?

    load driver X, then open the same multiplayer map in Far Cry (or whatever), go to the top of hill X, face a certain direction or look at a common object and take a screenshot.

    alternatively, start a single player game and save at a good spot. then each time you load up your save game and take a screenshot without moving.
