this is a n00blet question........on every bench is shows my clock speed of my CPU at 1.2 gig

SHOULD i disable the AMD Quiet and Cool feature in my bios???
you know that stuff that lowers my CPU speed when the power is not needed........i think

    thanks

Try loading the processor, like prime 95 torture test, then check. I think cpu-z updates in real-time. Even with cool & quiet on, should go back up to full speed as soon as you do something. I think both of those are in the downloads section...

When i enable cool and quiet it lowers ALL my benchmarks. Apparently it adjusts your clockspeed so quickly you wont suffer any performance loss, but i do.

    Just something to think about.

Definately turn cool n quiet off if you wanna oc. Cool and quiet just lowers the clock speed when its not in use, however, it shouldnt effect benches because it should kick up to the correct speed when required.

I personally would disable it anyway.

That's because you're an oc-er ;) And you probably don't care about noise

which is worth it for me

and i have noticed no increase in noise either
