    It's like:

    6800 GT = 16 p.s. & 6 v.s.
    6800 = 12 p.s. & 5 v.s.
    6800@(16p.s. & 6v.s.) = 6800GT?

    My results are:

    3D Mark 2005:
    @12/5 -> 3539 3d marks
    @16/6 -> 3990 3d marks

    Results are the average of repeated 5 times standard benchmark

    I use Forceware 77.76

    You did take into account that your CPU is probably bottlenecking your system quite a bit when paired with a 6800?

    12.5% increase is still quite respectable.

    2GHz is sufficient, looks like he did not raise the GPU/MEM clocks above default which would yield him well over 4K 3DMarks

    2000 Mhz is quite sufficient, but my overclocking abilities ends up right here.. However 45-70 fps in Doom 3 (1280x1024, 2xA.A., 8xA.F., High Quality, Vsync + Tripple buffering) are respectable too ;), due to the fact, that my CPU is 2 years old..

    it is not sufficient if you want decent performance. i got around 4900 in 3dmark 05 with my old unlocked 6800 with my current cpu!!!

    the thing is, that 3D Marks <> (or != ) fps in games...

    yes, i do realize, that my cpu isn't powerfull, so my gpu can't do his bests..

    You have a AXP..AXP's bottleneck ANY of the 6800 cards...Especially running 3dmark05, which, believe it or not IS cpu dependant at certain points. Namely tests 2 and 3(due to the fact that they're vertex shader dependant, same reason the benchmark is faster on newer ati cards).

    People with A64's or high end P4's won't be able to tell, but people with AXP's and low end or older P4's will see what I mean real quick with 6800's or better on the gpu.

    Once you break 11k in 3dmark05, you'll see a cpu bottleneck in 05 ALL THE WAY TO 3.5 ghz on an A64!!! Test 1 will keep getting faster as the gpu gets faster, but tests 2 and 3 will pretty much sit at a standstill. Now, you're in a lower bracet, but you're using a MUCH slower processor, as the AXP is 25% - 35% slower than a A64 clock for clock. You at 2 ghz is about equal to a A64 at 1.4 - 1.5, which trust me, does bottleneck a 6800 in 3dmark05, I've done it just to see if things go linearly with cpu speed increases.

    This is why most people still prefer 3dmark03, even at 30K+, it doesn't hit a cpu bottleneck except in test 1!

    Finally... Why are you complaining about 12.5% faster performance FOR FREE? You paid for a 12 pipe card, you got a 16 piped card... You got more than what you paid for already. Also, you're not at 6800gt performance, and never will be. The 6800gt has GDDR3, your card has ddr1, which gives the 6800GT better ram timings and faster ram speeds by about 300+ mhz. No way can DDR1 catch up with GDDR3, sorry to have to tell you this.

    yes, i believe it... moreover i know it ;) but it still doesn't equal to fps in games.

    well, big lol here, coz my Athlon 2600 isn't THAT SLOW! What is more, i've seen some tests that compared the two models, you're wrong. But it's obvious, that my Barton (with 512 L2, lol) can't handle 64 registers, so that some tests may glofiry A64 :]

    And here is ROTFL... AND I'm sorry to tell you, that it has GDDR3!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blah, that's an offence to my 6800 (@325/700)

    my card

    Maybe a CPU upgrade is needed.
    BTW, youre having more that what you payed for.

    My mobile AXP running at 2.2GHz gives me around 4.9k 3Dmarks, increase that to 2.5Ghz gives just over 5.1K in 3DMark05, swapping the card into my A64 3200+ @2.4GHz gives only a few hundred points extra, as expected.

    Your memory FSB at 333MHz is killing the true memory bandwidth available, also your 6800 @325/700 are mainly the reasons why your scores are much lower than mines.

    If all your games run smoothly then why worry about numbers? :cool:

    I really want to know what is the real-time boost after unlocking...
    Just want to know what I am missing :(

    well, first of all you must be that lucky not to have artifacts after unlocking (but i see that you have 6 vertex shaders?!)

    then i may say that real time boost is slight (but i am CPU limited!! :(), but i didn't test it anyway...

    i had no artifacts after unlocking, so i left it that way..

    I was one of the UNLOCKY ones who weren't able to unlock the pipes but only was able to unlock the vertex shader. That's why I said I was unlucky :(

    You can't unlock your card as its a GT, only vanilla 6800's can. But you use Rivatuner in the nvstrap section.
