The 6600 would be the obvious choice. But try to get one with only 128MB. The extra 128 don't actually make any difference. Except for the cost :D

well u could up the ante a bit and go for a 6600gt or 6800le..both these cards offer good performance to money ratio..well the later one can be unlocked to 12/16 pipelines and both would cost a little bit.just a little bit more than a plain 6600.but if ur really tight budget..go for the 6600,its true go for 128mb coz the card only have 128 bit mem bandwith

ive never used a palit product b4..but if u can get it for a low price then its ok..no worries though all of em use the same nvidia core ..pretty much it wont be much different from other brands xcept if its like the bfg Oc or the golden sample that comes with higher speed than normal card..if u want the plain 6600gt go for it..and do check the hsf quality..just google for it

i dont know anything about palit either, in the round up of 6600GT's on anandtech a while back it finished in the middle of the pack in just about anything, noise, temps, the lot, so you could do worse, and the one plait card i saw in shops was really cheap, so sounds like a bargain

but why did you drop the 6600GT? is it to expensive?

Wow, duplicate threads, anyways, like I said, go with the 6600, and don't worry much about the 256mb part, there isn't much of a performance difference except in games like BF2.

Try to get 6600GT. fx 5700 to 9600, I don't think you will see considerable improvements. Geforce 6 series have better AA and AF. Out of those that you have mentioned 6600 is the best.
